lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 16:48 (ten years ago)

lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 16:49 (ten years ago)

Beautiful

Spottie, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 16:52 (ten years ago)

Yeah slothro eagle/bones have been a good duo

Spottie, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 16:53 (ten years ago)

Second place votes were scattered among Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green, who also shared almost all the 3rd, 4th and 5th place votes, but there was nothing like a consensus about who was next most valuable. Damian Lillard got a few third place votes and lower, which was nice to see. Kyle Lowry was mentioned, too.

NBA on ESPN @ESPNNBA

"For him to be that first player to get this unanimously, it just tells you how watered down our league is." - T-Mac

I hear this a lot form casual NBA fans these days.

Spottie, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 23:40 (ten years ago)

yeah, everyone goes back to jordan peak years where like karl malone and penny hardaway would get random first place votes. no one is willing to say the obvious, which is that the people who cast those votes were idiots.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 23:48 (ten years ago)

karl malone won the mvp twice literally because people were bored

Clay, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 23:49 (ten years ago)

to me the watered-down comment is even more insane because anybody's top 5 mvp this year is incredibly strong! like you're guaranteed to get five excellent players, one of whom just happens to occupy spot #1 in a non-controversial way.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 23:57 (ten years ago)

yeah just comes off as sour grapes

Spottie, Tuesday, 10 May 2016 23:59 (ten years ago)

the league is probably as deep in terms of superstar talent as it's ever been

k3vin k., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 00:10 (ten years ago)

talent overall too obv

k3vin k., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 00:10 (ten years ago)

Spottie, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 00:29 (ten years ago)

Clay, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:29 (ten years ago)

Shameful officiating there

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:29 (ten years ago)

No call on the tackle?

always be charging (rip van wanko), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:29 (ten years ago)

jesus whats the point

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:29 (ten years ago)

i mean look the spurs shouldve closed better, but this is a game of inches and thats two games where okc has been given an inch.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:30 (ten years ago)

No call on the kawhi foul is kings-lakers level of sketchy incompetence

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:31 (ten years ago)

too juiced

moullet, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:31 (ten years ago)

Popovich's failure to give up on West/Duncan is costing the Spurs this series imnho

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:32 (ten years ago)

nba legit owes the spurs an apology this has been shameful

Clay, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:32 (ten years ago)

officials didnt call a lot the whole second half

lma missed a tonne of chippies

rwb is amazing

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:32 (ten years ago)

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:32 (ten years ago)

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:32 (ten years ago)

rwb making threes in this series, so fucked up how stats gods have failed me

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:33 (ten years ago)

im not saying the spurs are dead, but this was a must-win and they came out flat as hell.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:34 (ten years ago)

dwight is on inside omg

Clay, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:34 (ten years ago)

why are we gonna be denied the best western conference finals of all time

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:35 (ten years ago)

because the refs like okc

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:36 (ten years ago)

the danny green foul on durant when adams tripped him plus the non-call are going to haunt me if the spurs lose this series.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:36 (ten years ago)

to be fair the spurs offense has looked anemic for a bunch of this series

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:37 (ten years ago)

but theyre still losing very close games with very sketchy officiating

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 02:37 (ten years ago)

"i dont rate other coaches" pop

<3
