What the fuck is Jon Barry talking about

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 6 May 2016 02:47 (ten years ago)

derozan and lowry combined 16-46 from the field, 3-10 from the line

k3vin k., Friday, 6 May 2016 02:50 (ten years ago)

miami doing a good job offsetting raps terrible shooting w a ton of turnovers.

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Friday, 6 May 2016 02:51 (ten years ago)

both lowry and derozan better than 85% ft shooters in non-shook scenarios iirc xp

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Friday, 6 May 2016 02:52 (ten years ago)

starting to think ding is not a great inbounder

Carroll had some really tremendous defensive plays down the stretch, I didn't think he looked healthy all season but maybe he is now

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 6 May 2016 03:25 (ten years ago)

Whiteside is the greatest defender I've seen who isn't really any good one on one

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 6 May 2016 03:26 (ten years ago)

such a weird player

lag∞n, Friday, 6 May 2016 03:45 (ten years ago)

This Toronto thing is so bizarre.

Carroll played great but also was the one that gave up that three to dragon to tie it.

Spottie, Friday, 6 May 2016 03:45 (ten years ago)

i really don't get why the heat kept going to joe johnson post ups on carroll. it's a decent play when he's got a guard on him but blech.

J0rdan S., Friday, 6 May 2016 04:11 (ten years ago)

Such bad offense from both teams

Spottie, Friday, 6 May 2016 04:13 (ten years ago)

Toronto doesn't run anything

Spottie, Friday, 6 May 2016 04:14 (ten years ago)

hassan played great tonight. it was one of the good whiteside games where he was scoring at the rim and also clogging up the opposing offense just by being in the paint. lowry and derozan dribbled away from the basket a bunch of times when hassan was under there.

but jonas was eating him up at the end of the game when hassan looked pretty gassed to me. i wonder how his stamina is generally right now, he's at the point now where he's played more games this season than he has in his entire career combined and he has to do so much for the heat every game. things get really sketchy for them with him out. sometimes the game shakes out where they don't get too hurt when he's off the floor but it's pretty harrowing every night.

Lowry had a couple of these and some better looks he ran thru that seemed always to end in worse shots

if you forget the part where they turned the ball over 5 million times the heat's offense was pretty decent for a night when they weren't randomly hitting threes but the end of game stuff is getting really frustrating. both tonight, game 1 of this series and game 6 of the hornets series dragic dominated the second half but got turned into window dressing in the final few minutes.

it was nice to see spo run a real play on that dragic 3. not sure i'd ever seen that action before. they tried to run it again in OT but the raptors had it marked.

J0rdan S., Friday, 6 May 2016 04:19 (ten years ago)

the heat shouldn't have lost that game but i feel pretty good about their chances of wrapping it up in 6 some way or another

J0rdan S., Friday, 6 May 2016 04:19 (ten years ago)

crazy both games went into ot

lag∞n, Friday, 6 May 2016 04:24 (ten years ago)

Interesting about the blazers being so low on the list. I'd be curious to see how many assists each team made, in contrast to just passing the ball.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Friday, 6 May 2016 17:06 (ten years ago)

info is here http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/team/passing/?sort=PASSES_MADE&dir=1

lag∞n, Friday, 6 May 2016 17:10 (ten years ago)

portlands 4th in assists

lag∞n, Friday, 6 May 2016 17:13 (ten years ago)

its interesting the dub have a lot of scorers (tho steph has been out for most of the playoffs) and pass a lot, but boston passes a lot cause they dont have anyone who can create a shot

lag∞n, Friday, 6 May 2016 17:14 (ten years ago)

i saw some figures somewhere that showed ball movement, player movement, pace, and quality of shot selection (via distance of nearest defender i think) for all teams during reg season, and dubs were like #1 in all of them but celtics were the team closest behind them in all 4

ciderpress, Friday, 6 May 2016 18:01 (ten years ago)

I was so uninterested in the end of that heat-raptors game that I just turned it off when it went to ot

The Cavaliers have now set a record for 3-pointers through nine playoff games. This is their seventh game of postseason.
