sadly roy hibbert is a ufa and it is unlikely we will be able to reunite him w/pg

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:16 (ten years ago)

it would be tough for the east to lose its second best player

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:17 (ten years ago)

pacers shd try to get russell

this seems like not that unlikely an outcome, cld even see the lakers giving up the pick and russell considering the relative competence of their organizations

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:19 (ten years ago)

swaggy for pg13 is a good deal

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:21 (ten years ago)

yeah if they offered russell and the pick that seems like a nobrainer for pacers

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:22 (ten years ago)

great opportunity to leverage georges overratedness

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:22 (ten years ago)

they would need more than russell and a pick imo

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:23 (ten years ago)

russell and pick is a great haul

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:24 (ten years ago)

for a top 10-15 player who's happy where he is? russell is still unproven

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:26 (ten years ago)

maybe if they can dump monta on them too

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:26 (ten years ago)

teams gotten a hellofa lot less for better players

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:27 (ten years ago)

but its not like he's asking out and they are in a pinch

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:27 (ten years ago)

young player w a perennial allstar ceiling + a very high draft pick is p sweet, i mean trying to salvage the core of their current team is prob the smart thing to do but that haul wld be v tempting, reset around three young players w big potential

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:29 (ten years ago)

turner and pauls primes wont really overlap tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:30 (ten years ago)

i guess im biased becasue i think the current pacers team looks like garbage but they probably have a higher opinion of themselves

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:31 (ten years ago)

obvs a lot of it depends on where the lakers pick lands, if its top two theres no way they make that offer, if its not in the top four they dont keep it anyway lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:31 (ten years ago)

i guess i see the appeal of turning the clock back to zero with a russell/randle/turner core in hopes of being the team that can take the baton in the east once the lebron era ends but really the east seems pretty weak right now that if i was the pacers i'd keep PG with turner and try and work my way into the raptors/heat/hawks/celtics/hornets tier of teams, it's not inconceivable that a team besides the cavs could be in the finals in one of the next two seasons (tho i would still say unlikely)

if turner is really really good in 2-3 years him and PG will be pretty close to sharing their peaks

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:32 (ten years ago)

yeah they cld both be very good by then true, still p small window tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:33 (ten years ago)

pg is still so young

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:33 (ten years ago)

wait are y'all throwing randle in the equation too? did i miss that?

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:33 (ten years ago)

i don't think they could get russell, randle and a pick but they could get russell and one of the other two. if the lakers lose their pick idk what else they have left to trade.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:34 (ten years ago)

how wow i was thinking he was 28 but hes 26

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:34 (ten years ago)

yeah in 3 years lebron will be 34 and who knows what moves he will have made at that point as de facto GM. a 29 year old PG and a 23 year old myles turner could do some damage w/ a decent roster around them.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:36 (ten years ago)

the problem with turning the clock back to 0 is that orlando and milwaukee are brewing good things too so that's more to contend with, whereas for the next year or 2 it's just the cavs and a wide but very beatable 2nd tier

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:36 (ten years ago)

they have money to sign some FAs too

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:37 (ten years ago)

personally think projecting what other teams will be good is pointless the league is so volatile got to base it on what will give u the best chance of building a champ team

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:38 (ten years ago)

yeah fair, hard to know what even next year is gonna look like until the kd situation is resolved

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:40 (ten years ago)

wonder if they'll try to retain mahimni, had a really good contract year

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:42 (ten years ago)

guys there is no way the lakers are going to offer Russell and the pick for george

k3vin k., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:59 (ten years ago)

randle and the pick however...hmmm. that would let George play the 4 (which he hates)

k3vin k., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 17:59 (ten years ago)

its possible imo, lakers r dum, they shopped russell like two months ago

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 18:00 (ten years ago)

dum ppl think pg is mvp level

lag∞n, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 18:00 (ten years ago)

new thread Juiceman, Juiceman, Juiceman, them boys up to something

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 18:18 (ten years ago)

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 21:04 (ten years ago)

that was pretty obvious already even if they didn't want to say it officially

k3vin k., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 21:08 (ten years ago)

Kyle Lowry's 2015-16 postseason numbers:

13 PPG / .306 FG % / .160 3PT% / .718 FT%

Spottie, Wednesday, 4 May 2016 22:44 (ten years ago)

apparently he's hurt? he better be at least

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 22:46 (ten years ago)

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 May 2016 22:47 (ten years ago)
