kd, even kd and rwb together, to the lakers makes no sense at all to me. It's a step backwards to a poorly run franchise that will take years to compete, in a conference where you've got to beat the warriors and spurs.

also feel like players have become more aware of how bad it looks to run to a prestige franchise/team of mercenaries after the decision and to a lesser extent the are we having fun yet lakers and the melo knicks, flip side of the is prob a greater awareness of the value of a quality organization

yeah lakers are not getting the good FA's for years.

feel like there are the "join a superteam" options (gsw and sas), then there are the "go to the east and maybe go to the finals a few times" options (mia and bos) and then there's the "i'm risk averse and this is all that i have ever known" option which is okc. there is no "join a rebuilding team during the last few years of my prime" option.

pros: could join greatest team ever, win titles for years
cons: would be second fiddle to curry, never be known as "the guy", could disrupt the chemistry of the dubs

pros: best coach in the game, tons of talent at many age levels and positions, best tacos, best fans, close to UT, best tacos, would become greatest team of all time, greatest tacos

pros: would be the dude, would be worshiped

pros: fans dont care, no pressure, pat riley, not that far away from contention if he joins
