Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA 1m1 minute agoVertical Sources: Steph Curry's MRI on knee has returned negative, no damage, a Grade 1 sprain. Could miss two weeks.
or not!
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:18 (ten years ago)
two weeks tho, thats cuttin it close
prob rip dubs but... maybe not??
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:19 (ten years ago)
woooow that great!
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:20 (ten years ago)
i think they can hang w the clips w out curry but every game will be close imho
comes back a lil early not at full strength but enough to pull the clips series out then finds health in time to beat spurs, possible if prob not the most likely scenario
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:20 (ten years ago)
srsly srsly doubt dubs cld beat the clips sans steph
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:21 (ten years ago)
homer
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:21 (ten years ago)
re eval in two weeks so could be more
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:23 (ten years ago)
whewwwwwwww
― frogbs, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:24 (ten years ago)
feel like he has to be back by... game 4? of the next round to make this work
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:25 (ten years ago)
basically if everything goes perfect then he's back for game five of 2nd round
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:25 (ten years ago)
would be cool if they are just playing w us tho and he comes back earlier to give boost.
we need the clips/blazer to go 7 games, triple OTs in all the rest too
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:26 (ten years ago)
dubs cld easily extend the length of their current series if they felt like it
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:27 (ten years ago)
guys i looked up an MCL sprain on the web and unfortunately the prognosis is pretty grim

― 龜, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:28 (ten years ago)
not sure how the scheduling works do all the 1st round series need to finish early to move up the start of the 2nd round or what
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:28 (ten years ago)
not sure either but i don't think so
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:29 (ten years ago)
also he's not going to be coming back at 100%. he can prob be effective enough at like 80% but that will be interesting to see.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:29 (ten years ago)
yeah i mean really I'm just more happy its not torn cos that could really alter his career
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:30 (ten years ago)
truuu
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:30 (ten years ago)
would still consider the dubs to be pretty decent favorites in every home game even without steph
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:33 (ten years ago)
i think the model for the dubs is to at least split the first four games with the clips and then get steph back for game 5, which should be like 2.5 weeks away
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:34 (ten years ago)
their defense might get better but the O will depend a lot more on contributions from guys that are capable but ultimately much less consistent
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:35 (ten years ago)
and #playoffbarnes is gonna have to show n prove
― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 25 April 2016 19:36 (ten years ago)
there will def be games where klay's offense can carry them and there will def be games where it can't. margins will be thin.
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:38 (ten years ago)
dubs are preeety bereft of playmakers w/o steph, its not showing against the rockets cause theyre garbage but i suspect theyre stiflable v a good prepared defense w/o him, like theyve got dray whos a great passer but cant really break anyone down off the dribble and livingston who can do some work out of the high post but is fairly useless in their typical high pnr set cause he cant shoot then theres like iggy? whos days of being a threat off the bounce are p far behind him
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:42 (ten years ago)
theyre gonna have to be able to run but running in the playoffs is... hard
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:44 (ten years ago)
some cosmic weirdness in a knee injury for a teammate leads to a ton of pressure on the nearly-amputated sean livingston
― Clay, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:44 (ten years ago)
klay can fake it as a playmaker in one night
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:45 (ten years ago)
er on some nights
naww
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:46 (ten years ago)
will be curious to see what kerr comes up w thinking we might see a lot of the inside out game funneled through livingston and bogut
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:47 (ten years ago)
his shooting/pump & driving can be enough to power their offense. on some nights! on other nights it's not. but it's not nothing.
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)
Chad Finn @GlobeChadFinn 5m5 minutes agoTo buy Curry time, the Warriors will now deliberately stretch their series with the Rockets to seven games -- against the Rockets' will.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)
idk feel like that works more when he already has an advantage but someone needs to create that advantage xp
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:49 (ten years ago)
i mean, he's not a cornerstone #1 option but they run him off screens as offense and if he's shooting well it's pretty decent offense
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:50 (ten years ago)
he's clearly much more limited than steph or james harden or whoever but i don't htink they're going to do anything drastically different. klay will have to make plays, and barbosa and brandon rush will be on the floor more and will have to make more shots and plays as well.
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:51 (ten years ago)
warriors without steph would be serious dogs against the clips but anything can happen
― k3vin k., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:53 (ten years ago)
yeah maybe they have enough like workable playmaking options that if they mix it up just right they can score good enough, will take some srs pro coaching tho, curious to see what they come up with
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:53 (ten years ago)
do think they will have to change their offense drastically tho as steph is so central to what they do and hes so singular, like they cant be relying on both pnr defenders to jump out on the ball handler w/o him
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:54 (ten years ago)
obvs they do have non steph plays but u know
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:55 (ten years ago)
i think the warriors have a stable enough system and smart enough players to ultimately manufacture enough offense to beat the clippers w/o steph
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 19:58 (ten years ago)
possible but unlikely imho
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:58 (ten years ago)
if he comes back at 70% w the dubs down 2-1 u cld be talkin tho
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 19:59 (ten years ago)
basically i think each team could win one road game which means warriors would win in 7
― J0rdan S., Monday, 25 April 2016 20:00 (ten years ago)
it would depend on when steph came back for sure
― k3vin k., Monday, 25 April 2016 20:09 (ten years ago)
espn says that curry will be "re-evaluated in two weeks". To me that means he'll be out longer than two weeks. Usually you don't re-evaluate a dude and then stick him in the lineup later that day. I think he'll miss the whole clips series.

cld be but also sometimes guys r just all heeey im back after a few days and everyones all "what"
― lag∞n, Monday, 25 April 2016 20:12 (ten years ago)
