i think they can hang w the clips w out curry but every game will be close imho

comes back a lil early not at full strength but enough to pull the clips series out then finds health in time to beat spurs, possible if prob not the most likely scenario

also he's not going to be coming back at 100%. he can prob be effective enough at like 80% but that will be interesting to see.

would still consider the dubs to be pretty decent favorites in every home game even without steph

i think the model for the dubs is to at least split the first four games with the clips and then get steph back for game 5, which should be like 2.5 weeks away

their defense might get better but the O will depend a lot more on contributions from guys that are capable but ultimately much less consistent

and #playoffbarnes is gonna have to show n prove

there will def be games where klay's offense can carry them and there will def be games where it can't. margins will be thin.

dubs are preeety bereft of playmakers w/o steph, its not showing against the rockets cause theyre garbage but i suspect theyre stiflable v a good prepared defense w/o him, like theyve got dray whos a great passer but cant really break anyone down off the dribble and livingston who can do some work out of the high post but is fairly useless in their typical high pnr set cause he cant shoot then theres like iggy? whos days of being a threat off the bounce are p far behind him

theyre gonna have to be able to run but running in the playoffs is... hard

some cosmic weirdness in a knee injury for a teammate leads to a ton of pressure on the nearly-amputated sean livingston

klay can fake it as a playmaker in one night

his shooting/pump & driving can be enough to power their offense. on some nights! on other nights it's not. but it's not nothing.

idk feel like that works more when he already has an advantage but someone needs to create that advantage xp

i mean, he's not a cornerstone #1 option but they run him off screens as offense and if he's shooting well it's pretty decent offense

he's clearly much more limited than steph or james harden or whoever but i don't htink they're going to do anything drastically different. klay will have to make plays, and barbosa and brandon rush will be on the floor more and will have to make more shots and plays as well.

warriors without steph would be serious dogs against the clips but anything can happen

yeah maybe they have enough like workable playmaking options that if they mix it up just right they can score good enough, will take some srs pro coaching tho, curious to see what they come up with

do think they will have to change their offense drastically tho as steph is so central to what they do and hes so singular, like they cant be relying on both pnr defenders to jump out on the ball handler w/o him

obvs they do have non steph plays but u know

i think the warriors have a stable enough system and smart enough players to ultimately manufacture enough offense to beat the clippers w/o steph

espn says that curry will be "re-evaluated in two weeks". To me that means he'll be out longer than two weeks. Usually you don't re-evaluate a dude and then stick him in the lineup later that day. I think he'll miss the whole clips series.
