is glasses really much better than wittman

― Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Thursday, April 21, 2016 5:43 PM (1 hour ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

i was wondering if glasses was getting signed separately from scott or if they were a package deal

call all destroyer, Thursday, 21 April 2016 22:47 (ten years ago)

hearing they are going to split the salary 50/50

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Thursday, 21 April 2016 22:51 (ten years ago)

when u watch the nba through the they live glasses it says LEBRON IS THE JUICEMAN

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2016 02:16 (ten years ago)

pelton said this in his chat, kinda interesting

I think the NBA should rethink its entire philosophy on fouling to penalize the player who is responsible for creating the contact rather than the player with the nebulous right to the space, which is what creates the rip-through foul but also block/charge calls.

lag∞n, Friday, 22 April 2016 21:17 (ten years ago)

I agree with that, block vs charge in particular feels like a coinflip a lot of the time

did i tell you guys about my orlando magic theory

ciderpress, Tuesday, 26 April 2016 17:46 (ten years ago)

go on

Spottie, Tuesday, 26 April 2016 17:50 (ten years ago)

i think they're going to win a lot of games next year

ciderpress, Tuesday, 26 April 2016 17:57 (ten years ago)

yeah i think they'll make the offs

Spottie, Tuesday, 26 April 2016 18:04 (ten years ago)

man theres a lot of solid wings in the FA pool this year even if durant is the only star

ciderpress, Tuesday, 26 April 2016 18:19 (ten years ago)

theres gonna be a lot of talent floating around this offseason for sure but also too much money and some dudes are gonna get way overpaid.

Spottie, Tuesday, 26 April 2016 18:25 (ten years ago)

this FA market will be a great test of GMs' and front offices' puzzle-solving ability

good time to have a negotiation/game theorist on staff

reading "boys among men" and seeing the shaq and penny 30 for 30 have reminded me how many of these coaching/front office/tv guys have been around forever. there's a lot of musical chairs, but once you're in you really have to screw up to get out completely.

if he's willing to take less money than the max he's worth a look.

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:04 (ten years ago)

mavs r gonna max him out lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:11 (ten years ago)

its so obvious not sure how we missed that

lag∞n, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:11 (ten years ago)

Depends on the team's style of play. I wouldn't take Dwight Howard on the current Blazers at any price. The Mavs could probably absorb him without undue harm.

lol seriously

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:15 (ten years ago)

they still will have to pay a ton to keep Parsons too (if he opts out)! that would mean they are overpaying for Matthews/Parsons/Dwight

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:17 (ten years ago)

good thing dirk took a paycut

lag∞n, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:19 (ten years ago)

i pretty much forgot that parsons was alive

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:34 (ten years ago)

he woulda helped them a ton vs okc

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:35 (ten years ago)

Should the NBA put the playoffs on hold for 2-4 weeks while guys heal up?

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:45 (ten years ago)

Oops, wrong thread.

i def believe dwight will get the max next yr but have consciously ignored as possible that he'll end up getting it from dallas, even though it makes a lot of (non-basketball) sense.

excluding tyson chandler, dwight really is a logical choice in keeping with mavericks tradition of paying & playing awful 5s

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Wednesday, 27 April 2016 17:54 (ten years ago)

parsons is v good he will get a max deal if he opts out

ciderpress, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 19:18 (ten years ago)

parsons is 'v good' but injury prone so that knocks him down to just 'good' imo

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:08 (ten years ago)

I can't believe we forgot Dallas for Dwight, cubes has even tried to get him a few times hasn't he? Dwight is gonna be a classic bridesmaid max contract anyway and cubes will probably jump in and sign him at midnight just to make a splash

I was thinking about how cubes also tried to get both Shaq and Kobe at different times and I really want to see a short doc or a long z Lowe column on the dirk teammates that might have been throughout the years

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:11 (ten years ago)

wondering if players are thinking he's an idiot now since durant told everyone that's the case. or maybe they've always thought he was an idiot. kinda crazy he's never been able to land the marquee star to pair w dirk

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:15 (ten years ago)

supposedly dirk doesn't want to play with dwight and has vetoed that idea already

ciderpress, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:16 (ten years ago)

haha smart man

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:16 (ten years ago)

lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:54 (ten years ago)

dudes like i'm not sticking around another year for that shit

(•̪●) (carne asada), Wednesday, 27 April 2016 20:55 (ten years ago)

there are some good dirk/dwight photos out there

k3vin k., Wednesday, 27 April 2016 21:25 (ten years ago)

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 21:27 (ten years ago)

wut

k3vin k., Wednesday, 27 April 2016 21:29 (ten years ago)

i can't believe timmy is 40

marcos, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 21:32 (ten years ago)

Spottie, Wednesday, 27 April 2016 21:37 (ten years ago)

I notice that Portland's second and third highest paid players, Alan Crabbe and Evan Turner, are unlikely to be starters when the season begins.
