Classic CP

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 03:42 (ten years ago)

portlands needs a juiceman to handle blake, all the frontcourt guys are half his size

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 03:53 (ten years ago)

i nominate mason plumlee for temporary juice duty

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 03:54 (ten years ago)

he who controls the juice controls the universe

ciderpress, Monday, 18 April 2016 03:54 (ten years ago)

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 04:21 (ten years ago)

Leaving aminu wide open all game

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 04:26 (ten years ago)

roughly recalling suddenly that blake was m/l the second best guy in the playoffs last year

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 04:27 (ten years ago)

clippers D doing the thing i've been wondering why teams didn't just do all year -- essentially pack the perimeter, switch switch switch, and force the blazers bigs (who absolutely cannot create offense) to do some scoring. if teams would have done this routinely (and no every team has the personnel for it tbf) i doubt portland wins 30 games.

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 04:30 (ten years ago)

Teams are lazy in the reg season

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 04:31 (ten years ago)

true

also suggest ban ricky gervais from american tv this is a national disaster

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 04:33 (ten years ago)

Brutal weekend for the western conf

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 04:34 (ten years ago)

more like the cistern conference amirite

micah, Monday, 18 April 2016 04:36 (ten years ago)

naw, the top three teams in the league are in the western conference. wait a bit until the wcf & ecf & finals and it will become more apparent that the wc still rules, just not with the same depth it has had lately.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Monday, 18 April 2016 04:44 (ten years ago)

xp damnn

ciderpress, Monday, 18 April 2016 04:44 (ten years ago)

This series is the only one that has a chance in the west. Blazers have some figuring out to do tho. See what coach of the year stotts is made of

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 04:49 (ten years ago)

Stotts dragging it out hahahaahahha

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 05:00 (ten years ago)

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 05:01 (ten years ago)

Light a fire

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 05:01 (ten years ago)

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 05:03 (ten years ago)

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 05:04 (ten years ago)

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 05:05 (ten years ago)

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 14:54 (ten years ago)

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:35 (ten years ago)

draymond second, whiteside a distant third.

call all destroyer, Monday, 18 April 2016 16:36 (ten years ago)

kawhi and dray were really the only choices

k3vin k., Monday, 18 April 2016 16:38 (ten years ago)

just like last year

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:43 (ten years ago)

its weird theres no dominant shot blocking big man right now

lag∞n, Monday, 18 April 2016 16:45 (ten years ago)

whiteside? or do you mean dominant in all aspects?

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:47 (ten years ago)

Lmao lance in that clip I hadn't seen that

Clay, Monday, 18 April 2016 16:48 (ten years ago)

whiteside can def be scored on inside but when he's on the floor you'll see a lot of guys get near the basket, pump once and then pass the ball back out

J0rdan S., Monday, 18 April 2016 16:49 (ten years ago)

ya whiteside obvs a great shot blocker but not actually a great defender, wheres that rim protector guards are scared to even go near theres usually a couple of those guys around

lag∞n, Monday, 18 April 2016 16:49 (ten years ago)

hes a bad one on one defender but yeah every time i watch i see guards just keep dribbling around rather than try anything, dude def has a major effect on the interior

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:51 (ten years ago)

whiteside's problem is more mental... i.e. yesterday he overplayed a pnr handoff and tyler zeller drove right past him for a dunk. but if he's in front of the rim he's usually a real deterrent, and he is good at baiting smaller players into trying layups just so he can block them. low post scorers who can put footwork on him or shoot hook shots over/around him can neutralize him tho.

J0rdan S., Monday, 18 April 2016 16:52 (ten years ago)

yeah spottie otm

thankfully there aren't that many low post scorers in the nba anymore either

J0rdan S., Monday, 18 April 2016 16:53 (ten years ago)

i was loving old man big Al vs whiteside. hornets will probably be going to that a lot more for the series to get HW in foul trouble

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:55 (ten years ago)

or to get buckets

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:55 (ten years ago)

whiteside is a must watch player imo, eyes are glued to him when he's in

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 16:57 (ten years ago)

was listening to lowe and coach thorpe previewing all the series this morning and although thorpe is wrong all the time he made a point about how whiteside gets off his feet too easily when guarding big solid dudes and it's actually the non-leaper types has he has trouble with. that may be right but i do think he's just a bad one-on-one defender, jelly k is not a big solid dude but he just cut at whiteside from various angles and hassan wanted no part of it.

call all destroyer, Monday, 18 April 2016 16:59 (ten years ago)

gobert is probably the closest to an all-around good defender shot-blocking dude

k3vin k., Monday, 18 April 2016 17:00 (ten years ago)

otm, maybe bogut but he doesnt play many minutes

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Monday, 18 April 2016 17:03 (ten years ago)

ya tru re gobert forgot abt him

lag∞n, Monday, 18 April 2016 17:13 (ten years ago)

yeah rudy gobert is the best rim protector i have seen this year
