I was hoping this thread would be titled "73 is never the answer...but sometimes it is"

hold onto that shit & use it for the finals thread

dubs > rockets 4 good riddance
spurs > griz 4
thunder > mavs 5 dirk prob good for one good dirking session
clips > blazers 6
cavs > pistons 6 this series will lead the round in eyerolls and cryptic post game shots at teammates
raps > pacers 7 prove it raps
hornets > heat 7
celtics > Hawks 6 Isaiah 4 presidetn

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Friday, 15 April 2016 17:45 (ten years ago)

I could 100% see a Blazers upset tho, not likely but wouldn't be the craziest thing in the world, cp3 prob just not going out like that in the first round though (he prefers round 2)

24 is kind of obvious but still tickles my brain.

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Friday, 15 April 2016 20:46 (ten years ago)

the math def does not agree with that strategy

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 20:48 (ten years ago)

Also I haven't seen IT2 in action before and just wow.

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Friday, 15 April 2016 20:49 (ten years ago)

oh man he is so awesome

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 20:50 (ten years ago)

OK I'm officially a fan of his now if the Warriors can't I wouldn't mind the Celtics.

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Friday, 15 April 2016 20:51 (ten years ago)

its crazy how a tiny insanely quick player can play so under control

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 20:54 (ten years ago)

where do u find the stats re wide open/guarded/etc shooting %s

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:14 (ten years ago)

i think nba.com has those?

ciderpress, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:17 (ten years ago)

eye test is all u need goon

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Friday, 15 April 2016 21:18 (ten years ago)

lol tru

xp ya i thought so too but i cldnt find them

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:18 (ten years ago)

oh idk then. bkref doesn't have anything requiring player tracking data

ciderpress, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:20 (ten years ago)

they're def on nba.com/stats though their website is a nightmare. i think you have to go to the "shooting" tab or something iirc

k3vin k., Friday, 15 April 2016 21:25 (ten years ago)

i went to the shooting tab!

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:26 (ten years ago)

i mean http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/stats/shooting/

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:26 (ten years ago)

ah its under the tracking tab ffs

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:27 (ten years ago)

http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/tracking/shots/

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:28 (ten years ago)

its a shame that nba site isnt a better experience. the info is there! just so hard to get around

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Friday, 15 April 2016 21:29 (ten years ago)

anyway i was right defend the layup not steph the best he shot from three in any sort of guarding situation was 49% aka 1.5 pps which is less than 2, which is not even mentioning the fact that in the video they use to illustrate this point the defenders dont even have to make that choice cause they have a 4-3 advantage, im extremely upset

http://i.imgur.com/DyDmVIS.jpg

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:32 (ten years ago)

also imo seeing as every team is an underdog to gs even if steph and the layup were roughly equal u wld want to roll w the variance of the three

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:34 (ten years ago)

yeah that was just really poor defense/communication nothing more

Better Pau Gasol (Spottie), Friday, 15 April 2016 21:34 (ten years ago)

shdve found a 2-1 gs break for the video at least but still wldve been VERY WRONG

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 21:35 (ten years ago)

nice statistical analysis, lag••n :)

i have something to say about the offs

ciderpress, Saturday, 16 April 2016 16:33 (ten years ago)

it's good

ciderpress, Saturday, 16 April 2016 16:33 (ten years ago)

hmm gonna have to agree

lag∞n, Saturday, 16 April 2016 16:38 (ten years ago)

your opinions are challenging but correct

, Saturday, 16 April 2016 16:44 (ten years ago)

It has been suggested on this thread that the first round will be preponderantly boring. I disagree. If you are bored it is because you do not care, not because the playoffs are boring. If you are not yelling about the lousy officiating, then you should not be watching, imo.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Saturday, 16 April 2016 16:55 (ten years ago)

this game is a mess lmao

there's no denying

moullet, Thursday, 2 June 2016 16:35 (ten years ago)

fact

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 June 2016 16:40 (ten years ago)

At this point in his career, he's probably New Zealand's most successful NBA player ever already.
