lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:30 (ten years ago)

i haven't watched him at all, is he good or just college good

k3vin k., Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:31 (ten years ago)

hell be a pro but prob not that great

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:33 (ten years ago)

tho when u can shoot anything is possible

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:34 (ten years ago)

hes projected as a bubble 1st rounder now

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:35 (ten years ago)

wait hold on there's another plumlee?

k3vin k., Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:37 (ten years ago)

theres an endless supply of plumlees

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:38 (ten years ago)

i think the thing w/ allen is that he's only listed at 6' 5" so he's more a combo guard than a 3 and d guy. if he was 2 or 3 inches taller he would be a lottery pick. i.e. he's much more skilled than sam dekker but dekker has enough height to play on the wing.

but l feel like a lot of teams still have pretty poor guard depth. a lot of teams frankly don't even have three good guards so i feel like there's def a place for him in the league as a scorer off the bench.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:44 (ten years ago)

im a plumlee but when my family immigrated from plumland they changed their family name to bison bc thats the english equivalent

get a long, little doggy (m bison), Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:46 (ten years ago)

six four/five is plenty big to play the nba 2 if he really is that big, but seems like he doesnt have great athleticism either so

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:46 (ten years ago)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGCytpyY5Wg

he's not unathletic!

J0rdan S., Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)

i think weirdly he can really jump but isn't that fast or quick laterally

J0rdan S., Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)

wwhen he was 11 should have prayed to god for overall athletic abilities instead of "dear god please let me dunk good"

get a long, little doggy (m bison), Saturday, 19 March 2016 19:49 (ten years ago)

yeah allen doesnt look super quick out there idk

lag∞n, Saturday, 19 March 2016 20:01 (ten years ago)

buddy hield??

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:02 (ten years ago)

he had an absolutely insane shooting year but it kinda came out of nowhere and hes old

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:03 (ten years ago)

but if he can really shoot like that...

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:03 (ten years ago)

idk i'm not convinced that age should be held against guys who could really play as upperclassmen. he can really play imo

call all destroyer, Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:41 (ten years ago)

his shot looked unbelievable tonight and you have a pretty high floor if you can shoot like that. i think the question about him is if he's athletic/quick enough to consistently generate his own shot but given how the game is right now that shot would still make him a pretty valuable player.

J0rdan S., Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:41 (ten years ago)

seniors drafted in the first round in the last 3 years

frank kaminsky
jerian grant
delon wright
larry nance jr
doug mcdermott
adreian payne
shabazz napier
cj wilcox
josh heustis
cj mccollum
mason plumlee
solomon hill
tyler zeller
andrew nicholson
miles plumlee
festus ezili
jimmer fredette
nolan smith
kenneth faried
jajuan johnson
norris cole
jimmy butler

not exactly the most encouraging group. butler the only franchise player, faried and mccollum arguably close. a lot of role players and busts in that group. also had draymond and jae crowder as second round seniors.

obv if buddy is this good of a shooter it would be almost impossible for him to not be a valuable nba player http://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2016/3/22/11259826/buddy-hield-stephen-curry-three-point-shooting-nba-draft-ncaa-tournament

that his shot pretty much came out of nowhere this year might be a little concerning but it looks really damn good

J0rdan S., Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:52 (ten years ago)

er that's the last 5 years i mean on the draft list

J0rdan S., Sunday, 27 March 2016 00:53 (ten years ago)

I figure he'll be taken somewhere between picks 10 and 20.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Sunday, 27 March 2016 01:00 (ten years ago)

no way he lasts to 10

J0rdan S., Sunday, 27 March 2016 01:15 (ten years ago)

wasnt damian a senior taken in the last 5 years?

Clay, Sunday, 27 March 2016 01:23 (ten years ago)

nah jr. might have been a fourth year jr. tho?

J0rdan S., Sunday, 27 March 2016 01:24 (ten years ago)

huh yeah i think he was 22, figured he was a sr.

Clay, Sunday, 27 March 2016 01:25 (ten years ago)

he was a 4-year player, he's more or less a senior and belongs in the same discussion as the rest of those guys

k3vin k., Sunday, 27 March 2016 01:32 (ten years ago)

feel like hield should at least be as good as mccollum. fwiw mccollum also just had an insane shooting year as a senior.

circles, Sunday, 27 March 2016 03:28 (ten years ago)

some guys are late bloomers whatcha gonna do

Clay, Sunday, 27 March 2016 03:41 (ten years ago)

a single season can be fluky tho especially when youre a grown man playing against teens

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 05:47 (ten years ago)

like this is dumb

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 05:48 (ten years ago)

he cld be a great shooter he cld also be just a good shooter

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 05:52 (ten years ago)

lol that red trendline really illuminates that he got better then regressed then improved again huh we are truly in the age of data

Clay, Sunday, 27 March 2016 06:09 (ten years ago)

its a testament to his remarkable work ethic

lag∞n, Sunday, 27 March 2016 06:20 (ten years ago)

haha

lag∞n, Monday, 28 March 2016 21:00 (ten years ago)

two weeks pass...

celtics ~30% chance of getting one of the top two picks http://www.celticsblog.com/2016/4/14/11429164/updated-boston-celtics-2016-nba-draft-odds

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 20:01 (ten years ago)

Fuck the Celtics.

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 15 April 2016 20:42 (ten years ago)

rude

lag∞n, Friday, 15 April 2016 20:47 (ten years ago)

As a nuggets and celtics fan I wish this draft was better but maybe more international guys get in

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 17 April 2016 22:57 (ten years ago)

nugs are gonna have to either make some sort of move or draft and stash, they're gonna have too many dudes

k3vin k., Sunday, 17 April 2016 23:23 (ten years ago)

they've been drafting well

J0rdan S., Sunday, 17 April 2016 23:36 (ten years ago)

The nuggets def have too many players... They're at least 2 deep at every position other than PG (and Augustin isn't half bad). although that includes 2 SFs who are always injured.

Maybe time to move faried.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 23 April 2016 23:00 (ten years ago)

four weeks pass...

wait david thorpe sold me on simmons http://es.pn/1VeiQRM

J0rdan S., Saturday, 21 May 2016 00:55 (ten years ago)

wow, he is really high on him. as much as people have talked about length in recent years, it's interesting that simmons is notably not long for a 6'10" guy.

circles, Saturday, 21 May 2016 03:59 (ten years ago)

did not even realize he was that tall

Spottie, Saturday, 21 May 2016 04:12 (ten years ago)

yeah, maybe not, different sources have different numbers, and he didn't do the official combine measurements.
