yeah i have an early an unfounded fear that the show will go heavy on celeb-level guests when i really want to hear simmons and stein talk about the nba in february for 75 minutes

Otm it's so funny that he's basically terrible on TV and that's basically gonna be all he does now

As cad noted all I really want from him is minutia pods in dogs days of the NBA and NFL seasons and maybe another hoops book or two sometime and he's probably gonna basically do the grantland basketball hour with more celeb handjobbery

Do hope he has a lifetime public beef w the worldwide leader though, that would be solid entertainment

the leagues all have their own channels now; if they were to go that route there's no need to involve hbo

hbo should be fighting to get saturday night football imo but only for a five year contract
