when rose's jumper is going he's a very dangerous player, when it's not he can disappear a bit but he's kinda crafty around the rim even if he doesn't have the same athleticism

good thing for the bulls is butler and pau can carry stretches offensively and like mirotic or hell even dunleavy (first part of game 1) can heat up enough to swing a game. and then when rose is feeling it he can still takeover inna vintage style.

rose is most likely going to be a good nights/bad nights type of player from here on out, i never cared for his game but given what he's been through i'm rooting for him to have more of the good nights

btw announcers falling all over themselves to compliment tristan thompsons offensive rebounding last nite really shd know that when a player is way better at offensive rebounding than anything else it just means no one is guarding them

the thing about Rose is that he's uncoachable w/r/t 3s and he's a terrible defender. So yeah he could still be pretty damn good if he just was an iso slashing machine but the things you have to swallow to get that from him are pretty gross.

I m/l turned on rose in the sense that I wasn't gonna buy that he is back for real until he plays like 70 games two seasons in a row and looks like an all-star

Also the cult of sports media rooting for him and over-covering every sprained ankle and utterance from his third cousin once removed grosses me out but that's mostly not his fault

I like watching him mostly when he's on and didn't expect him to blow up in the offs after a meh regular season so that's nice but the generally ill-advised long range shooting bothers me, like I think he could accidentally turn into Bad late career Stephon Marbury if he's not careful

The only thing I could think was maybe it grazed his shin just as it was coming down but i probably wouldn't have overturned the call at least with the angles ESPN had on it

i thought for sure it was off sessions until i saw the replays. watching w/o audio so no idea what was said but i figured they just decided they didn't have enough to conclusively overturn the call but man what i saw looked pretty damn conclusive.
