Btw that Tim Duncan coaching Etan Thomas story moullet posted is hilarious

Reminds me of the clips of Andrew luck telling guys who just sacked him "nice job" and "good hit"

juice college (agent hibachi), Saturday, 25 April 2015 19:35 (eleven years ago)

ugh, schroeder is killing us, korver is cold, alison brie is at the game w/ her franco bf, this game is painful to watch

balls, Saturday, 25 April 2015 21:01 (eleven years ago)

Brooklyn really isn't that bad with the rejuvenated Bropez

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 25 April 2015 21:07 (eleven years ago)

yeah that's what i'm telling myself, 'thad young's really working out for them' etc.

we're fucked.

balls, Saturday, 25 April 2015 21:13 (eleven years ago)

i've been telling myself that the hawks are just warming themselves up again, but i'm starting to wonder. maybe this loss will shake em up

Heez, Saturday, 25 April 2015 21:34 (eleven years ago)

I would say there are some similarities between that game and the spurs' first game, as in hawks missed a bunch of shots they usually make and I wouldn't predict that to happen two games in a row

slothroprhymes, Saturday, 25 April 2015 21:41 (eleven years ago)

bulls bucks already getting back into the chippiness

Deron had that shot to tie game 2 with like 10 seconds left tho, this series has been close.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:00 (eleven years ago)

it's entirely possible that the dude doing play by play for the bulls-bucks series has not seen an entire NBA game this year

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:32 (eleven years ago)

Kev will concede the point soon, like Jord did with the 2011 draft. But you, you have the long term potential to find a problem with a Kawhi MVP season or something.

ha i have long conceded that gobert is not actually a rich man's ryan hollins, but it does still make me chuckle to think about it, i mean at heart the guy is an overathletic spaz

k3vin k., Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:39 (eleven years ago)

the bucks are playing the right way so far

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:43 (eleven years ago)

if gobert had Hollins' hops we'd have to change the name of the sport to Gobertball or something

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:46 (eleven years ago)

Jimmy butler just personally decided this game should be tied by halftime and made it happen

juice college (agent hibachi), Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:56 (eleven years ago)

bulls with home court advantage in milwaukie a lil sad

Clay, Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:57 (eleven years ago)

Also these couple of minutes for the bucks are a good argument for having a veteran point somewhere on the bench for a young team

juice college (agent hibachi), Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:57 (eleven years ago)

i didn't think cliff paul ish could get cornier but this identity theft one where it's like "do you get it, it's chris paul, but he's wearing a fake mustache and glasses, that is the hilarious joke" has me like @statefarm delete your account

Clay, Saturday, 25 April 2015 22:58 (eleven years ago)

yea lol close city proximity will do that

slothroprhymes, Saturday, 25 April 2015 23:03 (eleven years ago)

milwaukee pro teams have always been happy to tap into that home away from home market for chicago sports fans. selig actually moved the brewers from the american league to the national league so they could have the cubs in the same division.

balls, Saturday, 25 April 2015 23:05 (eleven years ago)

given how many minutes jimmy buckets will inevitably play he's gotta be on track to score like 50 or some shit

slothroprhymes, Saturday, 25 April 2015 23:19 (eleven years ago)

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 25 April 2015 23:59 (eleven years ago)

other than the literal geographical issue, whys that

slothroprhymes, Sunday, 26 April 2015 00:04 (eleven years ago)

fun ending so far

polyphonic, Sunday, 26 April 2015 00:06 (eleven years ago)

yeah, like i'll daydream of ways to move new orleans and memphis to the east and then i'm like who can i move to the west and the only plausible team really is milwaukee and there's no way in hell they're gonna let themselves be in a different conference from chicago and moving chicago to the west almost definitely just exacerbates imbalance issues longterm irregardless of how good that team is right now. basically just do away w/ conferences, go to that weird four or five mega divisions thing someone proposed, accept you can't have truly balanced schedules for every team plus teams don't want it - the bucks want to play the bulls more than they play the suns and the suns want to play the lakers more than they play the bucks - and just do it 1-16 and any inequalities or unfairness in the system will be weeded out by having seven game series. baseball and football don't rig their playoffs to have some sort of geographical balance in the finals, maybe when there were really good odds the finals were going to be lakers-celtics and lakers-celtics was a really optimal scenario for a league that wasn't as established or strong as mlb it made sense to have a system that funneled things to that matchup but it's 2015.

Also stupid hero ball by rose trying to split a triple team with a behind the back dribble

juice college (agent hibachi), Sunday, 26 April 2015 00:18 (eleven years ago)

slothroprhymes, Sunday, 26 April 2015 00:21 (eleven years ago)

Dudley threw a great pass tho

juice college (agent hibachi), Sunday, 26 April 2015 00:30 (eleven years ago)

there's probably several reasons this couldn't happen beyond logistics and inertia but maybe you could do away w/ divisions and then for scheduling since not everyone can play everyone else an equal amount of times you do it that every team has a home and home w/ every other team in the league and then the rest of the schedule is purely determined by previous year's record a la the nfl (sorta, only like two or three games are determined that way in the nfl schedule). this would 1) increase number of holy shit amazing matchup games every season 2) generate more out of nowhere cinderella teams 3) incentivize winning and create something as close to relegation as could be possible in american professional sports since bottom dwelling teams either thru incompetence or design would lose out on revenue. this might solve the tanking issue since it's really hard to deliberately construct a team that can put up one of the worst records in the league playing a disproportionate number of its games against equally awful teams several years in a row.

balls, Sunday, 26 April 2015 00:30 (eleven years ago)
