just checked the score of nets-hawks, gonna go out on a limb & say the most boring parts of the red sox game I'm watching while I wait for spurstime will be notably less boring than nets-hawks

This nets Hawks game is actually fine, I remembered I coul d see the local feed even tho I have no NBA TV so I'm flipping back and forth, it's fine acceptable basketball being played reasonably hard

I also just learned that Elton brands favorite tv show is curb your enthusiasm

The Spurs accepted (the) risk (of not locking up Kawhi Leonard to an extension last summer) because waiting to bump up Leonard’s salary gives them the chance to dangle max cap space in front of Marc Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge this summer. Neither is a good bet to leave his current team, but sources around the league have been saying for weeks that the Spurs might get a hearing with Aldridge — and that was before the Oregonian reported that at least one Blazers player thinks there is only a 50-50 chance that Aldridge stays in Portland.

i mean im def interested as a fan, but im a bit skeptical given his track record of saying he'd like to stay in portland. spurs have never made free agent plays that big and succeeded.

i think the spurs with max room can obv sell themselves on championship peidgree and "The System" and a nucleus of some good young pieces (well, two) plus a year or two of tim duncan. lma on the spurs would be sick and definitely open the championship window with kawhi another handful of years. but hes talked about pdx legacy shit and i cant hate on that at all.

he was basically saying he would play as long as he feels like he could contribute which should be another 10 years or so

i would honestly be v surprised if tim retired after this year. he still has so much game and has been fairly durable with this reduced minutes.
