xp after a poor showing in game one and a worse showing/benching in 4q in game 2 i think it'd be a mistake not to read the writing on the wall. rondo has checked out and i am not sure what dallas stands to gain by giving him minutes. after so many wasted games waiting for him to adapt and make an impact in the mavs' system, i say give the nod to someone who has, you know, demonstrated some kind of will to actually play.

rondo flamboyantly checked out, more like straight up protested, clearly needs to figure some stuff out, maybe go to australia over the offseason

rondo to knicks/lakers just seem like perfect bedfellows at this point. those teams will need to attract desperate or otherwise unwanted players, and which teams are really gonna want rondo?

the ones where inept ownership/front office doesnt consider the coaches opinion slash teams desperate for any warm body. Knicks maybe longer shot now that Jackson is ostensibly running the show. wld guess kings, lakers (b/c Kobe), maybe brooklyn, maybe Denver. there's plenty of poorly run outfits that might ignore historical precedent and bring him in

if he found fault with rick carlisle's opinions i can't wait to see how he screams at byron fucking scott

if scott lets him control the offense they'd get along fine, not sure that's in the lakers best interest but it's what rondo needs to succeed to whatever extent bball success is still a possibility for him

most likely outcome imo rondo sings a one year deal for backup money and tries to rehab his game/rep

kanter is bad imo. whatever he gets on offense he gives back on defense.

The numbers back that up, but the exploding cap and his rare scoring talent means someone might go totally nuts in an effort to prevent OKC from matching.

Kanter is also a headcase who does really weird shit and seems to be an awful teammate, just to complete the package

god, Kanter averaged 22-13-1 for OKC on 57% shooting

It's hard for me to believe that he can't be a productive player if Kevin Love and Al Jefferson can, but maybe the defense really is next level bad.

kanter sucks, and presti being lauded for bringing on a freaky big man who's a defensive turnstile and has personality issues/irrational confidence that he doesn't back up baffled me.

on some simmons podcast either him or lowe was saying that the thunder might think they can bring kanter back and it will be ok with ibaka fortifying the back line but paying $50 something million or whatever to a guy who can only play if another dude is on the floor sounds terrible and i doubt presti will do it

i mean if the thunder traded harden because he wanted $50 million and they would only give him $44 and then they turn around and give that money to enes kanter.... i dunno man

he's also 22 or whatever so you could hope that he'd become at least somewhat responsible on defense.

Favors is good on defense and Gobert is great and the Jazz could never figure out a way to cover for Kanter so...
