following the battle for the 7/8 seed in the east the past few weeks (partly cuz i want the nets in the lottery, partly cuz i want to be able to see someone interesting/entertaining) has really really driven home for me how bad the east is. curious if thibs ends up in new orleans. orlando would be an interesting fit but supposedly billy donovan is going to finally take that job.

The D League allowing teams to pick who they face in the playoffs, is that an experiment to see if they could use it in the NBA or just a D league 'fun' thing? I like the idea of the team the Warriors/Hawks choose to face feeling extra slighted. Like especially if the Warriors were to pick the Rockets or something crazy.

hmm. if playoff teams are sometimes doing things like resting starters or going half-assed to move their seeding down and get more favorable matchups anyway, why not allow top seeds this privilege in the first place?

obviously this wouldn't be quite the same thing & teams with lower playoff berths would prob still do the late-season shrug from time to time, but if you dominate as thoroughly as the dubs have why not have the preordained right to potentially breeze through the first round? maybe it shouldn't just be for 1-seeds tho, maybe only if you are #1 and also won like over 60 games. so last year's indy would be exempt (and rightfully so imo the wheels so clearly fell off that cart, or rather poor hibbert meekly, depressively pulled them off the cart with tears in his eyes)

I 100% remember this it was an eloquent essay that booted me directly and permanently off the McMillan bandwagon and he was vaporized as a head coach not long after, maybe the most otm thing ever on ilh

yeah and those were just blatant take-your-cookies strips, you just don't see guys like cp3 or steph give up the ball like that. he's special

logo is alright, goon otm about grey. washington monument thing is kinda cool but also kinda shoehorned in

yeah they def got attached to the monument idea even tho it didnt work which lead to the gray which lead to having a gray star in the middle of their logo lol

some of the letter spacing is awful too. needed to give them all a little more room to breathe imo. the A to S is bad.

its bad but the warriors one is just generic bad (which makes it worse imo). copperplate is just one of those typefaces that is a complete no-no to even consider. wiz one is more of a trendy product of its time
