I watch more sixers games than I should and I haven't seen this Nerlens offensive development that people talk about. I think most of it is just Ish Smith being a much better point guard for him.

if by boring you mean very bad

"boring" is not the apt description for "trading tyson chandler due to beef with malcontent star over representation" or "trading shumpert's potential as a JR salary dump"

it's hard to imagine what the knicks could've done to be less fun to watch.
if they lose six to eight more games, they're at least interesting as curiosities. as it is, they're "historically" bad for the knicks but not even really bad enough to be noteworthily bad in the history of the nba. they're just a garden variety shit team. there's nothing loveable loser about them.

previous Knicks GMs would have doubled down on that JR-Melo-Chandler team like it was a title contender, which is why Phil is a refreshing change of pace imo

they could've traded JR straight up if they really wanted to dump him without including shump. trading chandler just for the excuse of dumping felton was equally idiotic.

i mean you can't be in a 3 team trade, export the only 2 players in the trade that are above replacement level, and have one of the OTHER teams get a 1st round pick. that trade was mind-glowingly bad

oh of course he had to, rock and a hard place and all, but tying up like $140 million in a 30 year old volume shooter who can't play d and has bad knees is not good for the franchise long-term

phil doesn't seem to get that if you're gonna firesale all your assets you at least need to get something back
