Experts tell me bone graft is always safest route for healing, but most teams don't do it off the bat b/c it takes a long time.

That really freaks me out if kd is of the 1 in 20 ppl for whom the initial surgery doesn't really work and has to have more surgery to fix the surgery (and it's his third procedure in six months) :(

Penny overrated imo

I've always been fascinated by how ilgauskas and hill had a seemingly endless series of surgeries until somehow one surgery nailed the problem and they were healthy from then on.

man, penny in his prime was near to pippen. definitely hall of famer without the leg injury.

A healthy Penny is maybe the 125th greatest player ever.

I remember the penny hype and it was fun but he wasn't even as good as Brandon Roy.

Pippen is probably the greatest perimeter defender ever.

i wouldn't argue that too vigorously and why i said "near to pippen" and not "as good as". both of them had dominant, once in a generation players beside them of course.
