rondo's assits and rebounds have nearly halved in dallas compared to his boston numbers this year, and he's shooting 29.6% from the line as a maverick

Any time you need a laugh tho just look at what the Nets will be paying joe and Daron next year (and Daron for another year after that).

they also have to trade 1st rnd picks with the hawks this yr. that's a potentially 20 pick difference.

Heez, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 04:28 (eleven years ago)

compuserve and i were also at the nets/pelicans game tonight behind the basket.
the nets are not a good team. two guys had to be carried off the floor.

Maybe in 100 years someone will say damn Dawn was dope. (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 04:51 (eleven years ago)

Steph def def (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 04:56 (eleven years ago)

Btw what Westbrook is doing is probably the most incredible thing that has happened in the NBA in the 20 years I've been following it. Were this a sport with more defined methods of measurement the conclusion that he was doping would be inescapable, but it's nice to believe in magic.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 07:43 (eleven years ago)

shit maybe russell is the real juiceman

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 11:44 (eleven years ago)

but while that's always a possibility in every sport I don't get why it's an inescapable conclusion.

devils advocate: he does recover from injuries real quick, historically and this season...

slothroprhymes, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 11:47 (eleven years ago)

Carlisle played Richard Jefferson, Charlie Villanueva, and Rajon Rondo together. And it was incredible.

Allen (etaeoe), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 11:58 (eleven years ago)

They would be an unbeatable volleyball team.

Allen (etaeoe), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 11:59 (eleven years ago)

:-(

I want to believe in magic.

Allen (etaeoe), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 12:01 (eleven years ago)

matt what do you think of my plans for our beautiful white gazelle's career rejuvenation?

k3vin k., Wednesday, 11 March 2015 13:54 (eleven years ago)

imagine how sad it wld be for everyone if russell got busted for juicemanning

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 14:51 (eleven years ago)

feel like there shd be some policy of allowing steroid use for recovery, obvs the details wld be hard to work out but still, like if someone had a season ending injury and stopped the steroids months before they returned thatd be okay right

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 15:04 (eleven years ago)

lakers are an amazing franchise

Lakers eliminated from playoff contention with Pelicans’ win, will miss postseason in consecutive seasons for 2nd time (1974-75, 1975-76)

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 15:58 (eleven years ago)

amar'e on the mavs

I came here to win, and we're [4 ½] games out of being out of the playoffs, which is unacceptable. This is something we can't accept. We've got to find a way to refocus. We've got to key into the details of the game of basketball.

We can't cheat the game. We can't screw around in games and practices and joke around all the time and figure we're going to win games. This is the pros. It's the highest level of basketball. We've got to act that way.

not sure how well this is going to land since he's only been here a couple of weeks, but he's probably not wrong (amar'e would definitely have first hand knowledge of teams with bad work ethics). i never really entertained much hope of ultimate playoff success but the team has fallen off so precipitously. it's a bummer, esp in dirk's twilight yrs (not to say he isn't already cooked as well)

head clowning instructor (art), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:17 (eleven years ago)

they were def playing over their heads earlier in the year like you look at their roster and it just didnt make sense, prob underachieving a bit now tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:19 (eleven years ago)

yeah it's def a mix of regression and dysfunction

head clowning instructor (art), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:19 (eleven years ago)

they are much more of a typical 8 seed than okc. hoping for them to slide to the 8 seed anyway

Steph def def (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:20 (eleven years ago)

really desperately want BROW in the playoffs and i dont care who has to die to make it happen

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:22 (eleven years ago)

yeah def

Steph def def (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:24 (eleven years ago)

can't say i disagree

head clowning instructor (art), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:28 (eleven years ago)

it shd tbh be the mavs, cause we need playoff westb too

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:29 (eleven years ago)

long way to fall tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:29 (eleven years ago)

KD should sit the year out imo. Let the juiceman ride

Steph def def (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:30 (eleven years ago)

otm

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:30 (eleven years ago)

mavs still at 95% in hollingers playoff odds

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:30 (eleven years ago)

suns and pelis have rough schedules ahead iirc

Steph def def (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:34 (eleven years ago)

mavs have a rough rest of season sched as well. keep that nola hope alive

head clowning instructor (art), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:40 (eleven years ago)

pelicans are inexplicably rolling w like half their roster injured

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:41 (eleven years ago)

yeah love that they kept winning sans brow.

Steph def def (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:47 (eleven years ago)

alexis ajinca is p fn good now btw

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 16:49 (eleven years ago)

is everyone still convinced monty williams is a bad coach

haralabob was just crushing him like every day for a while

polyphonic, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 17:43 (eleven years ago)

he does seem pretty bad imo

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 17:50 (eleven years ago)

good idea imo http://grantland.com/the-triangle/d-league-deconstruction-the-necessary-plan-to-fix-the-nbas-farm-system

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 17:51 (eleven years ago)

Monty seems like a coach that dudes like to play for, while not a cult of personality MJax type. major major weakness is playcalling I guess? But they seem like they play hard for him and are engaged.

But outliers exist though right? Like is it inconceivable that westbrook recovers really fast in general and also might be one of the top five athletic guards ever to play and also is a lunatic and also durant is out

Ok i mean the explanation with the fewest assumptions is probably correct but I want to believe xfiles.jpg

we just form a f#!king wall (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:29 (eleven years ago)

ya obvs nothing definite there but matt is right in pointing out that its suspicious, if i had to single one player out to bet on as a ped user itd be kobels tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:32 (eleven years ago)

one of the things that made baseballs ped problem so obvious is that you had all these players extending their primes way past the usual window, which is happening in basketball now too

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:33 (eleven years ago)

also their heads enlarged greatly

Clay, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:41 (eleven years ago)

Tim Duncan?? xp

Romo... ROMO! Bring Back Sergio Romo! (Leee), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:42 (eleven years ago)

man if timmy turned out to somehow be a ped user i think that would hit the hardest

head clowning instructor (art), Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:47 (eleven years ago)

He's a former swimmer there's no telling with those dudes

, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:51 (eleven years ago)

more likely explanation would be that Timmy is a wizard and his D&D playing is just a cover

Aimless, Wednesday, 11 March 2015 18:52 (eleven years ago)
