dirk is a 12 time all-star future hof'er and this is probably his last appearance and he's representing the only 30 win team that would otherwise send no one to the game and he's spent most of this season leap frogging other hof'ers on the all time scoring list and he's still the canonical stretch 4 so basically there's a p good arg to be made for his being the third injury replacement

sure but you could say the same thing about klay thompson

some players legit are more valuable when the talent around them is better, particularly guys like dray or korver who can't really create their own shot but do so many things well that don't show up in box scores

maybe we shd just renamed it the all guys who do little things that dont show up in the box score game

korver in the ASG is p much a joke but its the east so i understand the thinking

klays team wld be much better than dray or korvers btw cause hes a much better player than either of them

tho he is def obvs obvs benefiting from being in a team that is so majorly in the zone right now

i mean imagine him jacking up contested threes on the wolves right now

tho re korver at least he is doing something legendary that deserves some recognition

idk man that just seems like a very old fashioned way of looking at the game, defense matters and draymond is a beast on that end and every metric backs that up. he can't be a first option on offense but he does a lot of things well

he's basically what they wanted iggy to be when they signed him

guys he is not a star nba player this is not that difficult

hes a very good defender tho obvs currently overrated on that end, as he is just generally, this is what happens to role players on great teams, i watched paul milsap who is better than him btw own the hell out of him about a week ago, and milsap doesnt even have good size which is drays biggest weakness

when considering his D keep in mind that the warriors are a generally very good defensive team who in fact lead the league last year in that category while starting david lee

the warriors will max him out as they should all things considered, but id be very interesting to see some other team take a stab at him thinking hell put them over the top
