tough loss against memphis. horford and millsap only had ten combined, grizzlies had 17 offensive rebounds to hawks 3. precisely what i was worried about. i can take comfort in that it was close and very winnable even w/ memphis fired up and at home. still man even if we did somehow make the finals (which i can't even consider) that is the one team i don't want to face.

balls, Monday, 9 February 2015 02:41 (eleven years ago)

memphis are tough yeah and deeper now too

Steph def def (Spottie), Monday, 9 February 2015 02:43 (eleven years ago)

Ya prob best bench of the marc-Zbo-Conley era: Koufos udrih Vince Calathes just a bunch of solid doods

They went with Zbo at center and jeff green asserting himself at the 4 for a moment and I imagined they could roll that a few minuts at a time even in the playoffs to give marc a rest when needed

Good team

The one thing that confuses me about German rondo: everyone says he can't shoot and percentages are rondo esque but every time I see him he's nailing open jumpers in a very non rondo manner

That's the first time I've watched Aten... Giannis, good lord his agility and quickness, if anyone's like the Dream, then it's him.

Hollinger Escape Plan (Leee), Monday, 9 February 2015 03:00 (eleven years ago)

also xp they have old vince who I'm sure will come in handy in the playoffs (if healthy)

Steph def def (Spottie), Monday, 9 February 2015 03:06 (eleven years ago)

theres a little iverson in isiah thomas, hes fun to watch sometimes

johnny crunch, Monday, 9 February 2015 04:09 (eleven years ago)

boogie so good

Steph def def (Spottie), Monday, 9 February 2015 04:18 (eleven years ago)

omg boogie. poor suns :( another buzzer beater

Steph def def (Spottie), Monday, 9 February 2015 04:25 (eleven years ago)

def thought the suns were stealing that

johnny crunch, Monday, 9 February 2015 04:28 (eleven years ago)

i really don't see the suns making the playoffs. they have a seriously brutal schedule from here on out.

Steph def def (Spottie), Monday, 9 February 2015 04:31 (eleven years ago)

if the pelicans can just keep it together this is their chance (along with OKC, who are now basically a lock)

slothroprhymes, Monday, 9 February 2015 04:48 (eleven years ago)

okc are totally not a lock

sae nnwurd - throw sum mo ka (k3vin k.), Monday, 9 February 2015 05:09 (eleven years ago)

one intersting thing that jeff van gundy brought up on lowe's latest podcast is that the warriors play the suns twice more this season, and if they're smart they'll tank those games to try to avoid OKC in the 8th seed

Sources: Kings and George Karl's rep will re-engage Monday. Front office has recommended hiring, deal terms are close. it's on owners now.

this is so dumb. they're not making the playoffs, might as well tank away with Corbin.

Clay, Monday, 9 February 2015 07:55 (eleven years ago)

vivek is too idiotic/delusional to be that shrewd

slothroprhymes, Monday, 9 February 2015 14:04 (eleven years ago)

i think there's something to be said abt getting a guy in who boogie can work with. given his record, karl is presumably such a dude.

pursuit of happiness (art), Monday, 9 February 2015 14:45 (eleven years ago)

wonder why boogie doesnt want to f w him

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 14:46 (eleven years ago)

there are reports that boogie isnt on board with karl, tho according to marc stein they are not v substantiated. i wonder why karl even wants this gig tho, i guess he really has the itch to coach again and he'd be given a top-10 player to work with, but that roster ain't doing anything in the west anytime soon

sae nnwurd - throw sum mo ka (k3vin k.), Monday, 9 February 2015 14:47 (eleven years ago)

ya one wld think he cld wait around for a better job, maybe hes not popular these days tho idk

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 14:50 (eleven years ago)

heard somewhere that the kings were gonna wait til offseason but orlando opening made them worried karl wouldn't be available. hiring him now though would give him a chance to know the roster and what he wants/needs to do w/ it going into the offseason and it's not like they won't still be a lottery team plus vivek gets to save face sooner. if i was karl i'd wait for orlando.

balls, Monday, 9 February 2015 15:31 (eleven years ago)

ya srsly orlando is a great job w a talented young team and a smart GM where sacto is literally hell w a no nothing meddling owner who will try to draft nick stauskas every year until the earth goes dark

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 15:35 (eleven years ago)

also orlando is in the east

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 15:35 (eleven years ago)

only thing sacto has going is the best player of the two teams

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 15:35 (eleven years ago)

personally i would like to see Karl land elsewhere thus opening the door for chris mullen to enter the coaching world. partly at least bc he's been in viveks ear giving advice and look how far that has gotten the team. can't imagine where they go with him driving the buggy.

pursuit of happiness (art), Monday, 9 February 2015 15:51 (eleven years ago)

agree mullen is destiny in sacto

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 16:00 (eleven years ago)

seems like he doesnt want the job tho?

@SpearsNBAYahoo
Kings interim coach Tyrone Corbin has been told he is coaching the next two games going into NBA All-Star Break, a source told Yahoo Sports.

please show up to work this week before we fire you

polyphonic, Monday, 9 February 2015 20:43 (eleven years ago)

Nah, I ain't pumped up. I just got a lot on my mind. The crazy thing about it? I just got a question for y'all: how you gonna stop God's plan? How you gonna do that? How you gonna do that? That's what I want to know. How you gonna stop God's plan?
Man, this city done put me through so much. I done stayed loyal to it the whole time. Hey, I just want to know how you gonna stop God's plan. God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. The marathon continues. I'm out.

Demarcus Cousins, on playing for the Sacramento Kings.

Clay, Monday, 9 February 2015 21:04 (eleven years ago)

xps to goon - i think there was some spec when his name was first floated back in Dec that he wouldnt consider the job until after the reg season so he could get a staff and not hop on a runndown horse midstream. buy speculation is what it is so who knows

pursuit of happiness (art), Monday, 9 February 2015 21:59 (eleven years ago)

yeah was thinking if he wanted the job even after the season prob they wldnt be talking to karl but who really knows what goes on behind closed doors

lag∞n, Monday, 9 February 2015 22:03 (eleven years ago)

what if this whole thing is just a vivek power play to try and coerce mullen into the role?

we are moving behind the looking glass here ppl

pursuit of happiness (art), Tuesday, 10 February 2015 01:05 (eleven years ago)

I think that's giving vivek too much credit, but who knows maybe he speed-read 48 laws of power and Machiavelli for dummies in a weekend and is like, FOLKS I GOT AN IDEA

slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 10 February 2015 01:20 (eleven years ago)

he is a silicon valley billionaire, this brand of thinking is probably not too foreign to him. also high probability that mullen likes getting paid to opine on hoops and isn't interested in the stress of coaching a losing team
