dwight is emotionally a 12 year old, KG basically headbutted a child ... this might be his most cowardly provocation yet

i never quite understood why lebron lost weight, i assume his people thought it would help him in the long run?

i'm starting to wonder if the heat didn't wear lebron out in the last few seasons. aside from the sheer number of minutes, their style was so frenetic and he could rarely take plays off (although he started to on defense last year). he just looks beat down.

i saw a haberstroh piece saying he's played 7,000 more minutes than MJ had at age 30.

did you guys know lebron has played more career minutes than andre miller?

i'm willing to accept that he's been playing hurt all season and if he can just get healthy he'll be back to elevating at the rim and stuff but if i had to bet i'd say he's on a permanent downslope starting this season

you cld see the decline last year too but i do think a lot of it has to be injury or something

last year he def dropped on defense but that looked mostly like an effort thing, his offensive game was still in peak form

i guess the more i think about it it seems crazy that his game could drop off as hard as it did in one offseason, so i'm willing to entertain the theory that he just hasn't been healthy all season and if/when he can get healthy he'll look like bron again

of course he put himself in a position now where his team can't really afford to have him sit any more games

recall talking here about how he didnt have his youthful explosiveness, first signs of decline, i dont think it was universally received but imo was real, what we wld be seeing this year prob w/o injury is a continuation of that slow decline

getting healthy can be super tricky obvs with back problems

instead he looks like 2020 bron

Getting bounced in the first round might be the best thing to happen to him this year provided it doesn't create complete panic and fleeing the scene

The last time he went home before mid-June was 2010 when he got beat by the c's and made the decision 1.0

Yeah it's pretty amazing that for all the drama and back pain (killer!!) he's playing through his regular stats aren't so far off his normal hi20s-7-7 type lines

Advanced stats prob a lil worse but even gimpy bron is still a top five guy right?

i was at the nets rockets game; they showed no replay of the headbutt so from where i was sitting it looked like howard threw a punch at KG and then Garnett was ejected. wasn't until i got home that it was clear what happened. nets promptly lost control of the game in the five minutes after that scrum and stayed at least six points or so behind for the rest of the way.

phil has done a decent job getting rid of some contracts but i feel like he hasn't gotten enough heat for most of the moves he's made. have they gotten a single asset in any of these moves?

i mean once you tank, you can't tank more. they lost shumpert and smith, who were at least rotation NBA players, for the opportunity to get even worse, plus a worthless pick
