nah, he got 6 mins in garbage time against the rockets and shot 3 of 3. looked natural enough on the floor but the game was already lost, so by that time he was the only one trying.

obviously small sample size. also he's still like...19? I feel like it couldn't hurt brad s. to him a few more chances out there. he'll prob play against the sixers or something

going back to when he was drafted it sounded like he was a bit of a project i think? also they have lots of guards.

me neither to be honest. mind you, a lot of the pacers woes were just a regression to their norm and the clippers will probably improve from here for the same reason. i guess what i was referring to is the general air of dysfunction that seems to follow them on the court

xpost I can see that re: the dysfunction. beyond the absurd brilliance of their franchise dudes they kinda are a ragtag bunch in various ways (hawes, turkoglu, matt barnes aka everyone's college weed dealer, etc.)

Kawhi Leonard a Spur for life?

Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs failed to sign an extension by the Oct. 31 deadline, but that should not be taken as a negative. The Spurs value Leonard, but they chose to wait until next July to sign their starting small forward since it will preserve about $8 million in salary cap room.

"I was never upset about (the extension)," Leonard told USA TODAY. "I mean they explained to me what their deal is and why they didn't do it yet. That'll play out. I'm just here to play basketball and have fun and try to win another championship."

Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are going to only play for the Spurs and Tony Parker will likely do the same. As far as Leonard is concerned, he is expecting to remain with San Antonio for his entire career.

"I don't think I'm going anywhere," Leonard said. "I mean they love me here. I like the organization, and if it was up to me, I want to finish out with one team like a lot of great players have done, to stay with one organization their whole career and just be loyal to that. You never know. We'll see what happens next summer, but I'm pretty sure I'll be in a Spurs jersey for my whole life."

The Spurs will lock in Leonard for five more years once we get to July and they will probably pay him max money worth about $86 million.

Clips are def not having a Pacers-style implosion, damn people say some outlandish and unfounded shit early in the season (cf writing off the Cavs already). I mean they looked a little un-winnerlike against the 2014 NATIONAL CHAMPION SAN ANTONIO SPURS but they have some time to like work out the bugs and stuff.

I just like his attitude. Also two-time sixth man of the year, third best scorer on team, very "clutch."

hes m/l the antithesis of a solid professional, an extremely talented scorer who never showed any interest in developing his game past that one dimension, re 6th man awards ask yrself why a guy who can do the things he does cant seem to find his way off the bench
