goon - as this is a subject you seem to be v passionate about, what are yr. top 5 current uniforms in the league? its not something i think about a great deal unless they're egregiously bad, like the celtics ones or yr. opinion of the current warriors ones

just considering normal unis not throwback or alternates or sleeved or w/e off the top of my head

oh yeah clippers shd maybe be in there instead of spurs, i just love the spurs logo w the spur for the U and their color scheme besides that its p genaric contepo uni w the v neck and thick stidestripe etc

new suns unis are def interesting and different not really sure gonna have to think abt it

the unbalanced neck/sleve piping kinda drives me crazy just wish someone wld try a no piping at all uniform already

tho again things like those lil half stripe things on the jerseys and trunks are lame, like they want to do minimalism but they cant help but put something pointless in there, wld love to see someone do a minimalist uniform thats not in a throwback style

i stand by my call for HBA to redesign the nets

btw celtics going back to BOSTON on their road unis after ~40 years is p cool

yeah def, they are so much better than the previous but its bittersweet, coulda really knocked it out of the park

i didn't know about the boston road unis, i approve

clips should have way better unis than they do -- the side stripes on the new ones are awkward

clips should have the most classic simple unis possible -- it's kind of impossible to screw up that tone of red/white/blue (i.e. the dodgers) unless you really try

interesting theyve had two diff unis from two diff cities w non standard city names on them, warriors are the bad boys of nba uniform conventions

basically everything up until 1997 was classic and then shit really went off the rails until the redesign

late 90s sports team color schemes (or color scheme redesigns) have aged as poorly as anything on earth

fat ass side stripes are the worst thing about contpto uniforms besides the vnecks

can't think of a single side stripe i like, even purely vertical ones

one design element i like that adds something to the uniform while still being pretty clean and classic is this, like, pilot shoulder stripe?

i've only seen it on miami hurricanes jerseys but other teams should pick up on it imo

I think my biggest problem with the NBA right now is steph and his mouth guard being perpetually outside his mouth, like even during play.

dude that is gross, reign it in.

most embellishments/stripes/detailing on unis suck so bad. one thing i hate about the mavs/suns (I'm sure others) is the block stripe on the butt down to the points down the leg (suns way more exaggerated). also the hawks have way too much going on but the ATL ones are cool (outside of the embellishments)

This recent chat made me realize I intensely dislike swooshy striping curving around uniforms

And the mavs unis are pretty boring but I remember their last few attempts at "exciting" uniforms did not go well

Ha answer is no unless you have some attachment to the Dominique era 80's design which admittedly is not too bad

Their late 90s road uni is hysterically bad
