He looks hurt, nothing else adequately explains his lacklustre play, lack of explosiveness, reluctance to run back on d and requests to come out the game ahead of time.

Kyrie was Chalmers status last night but that won't be a regular thing. What's weird is Lebron ripping on the teams "bad habits" and declaring that he's "there to help", given how poor he himself has looked.

If he's nursing an injury he should just come out and say.

he should just wear his Miami rings during the games

and punch teammates in the face with them.

cavs have a pretty soft schedule coming up, lebron might be able to keep this up for a few weeks w/o things spinning out of control

i really don't think lebron's play can be attributed to his age. it's definitely an attitude thing. and while i'm sure he's a great teammate in practice and stuff he's had a pretty long history of pouting/playing weird during games where his team isn't in sync

lebron's def gotten slower on defense bcuz of his age i don't think that's really disputable at this point

he let's guys blow by him routinely now... he can still stop the ball like a menace when he gives max effort but he rarely brings that out in the regular season

i think folks are leaning a bit too far into the skid of week 1/small sample size conclusions, and the team will figure its shit out eventually. was anyone expecting cavs to pull out a W against a team that made the 2nd round in the west last year on said team's home court?

that said, the statement is a bit of a D move on lebron's part, dude gotta chill

i was thinking this last night -- we went thru this with the heat. remember when lebron "shoulder checked" spoelstra or whatever in dallas? the press is gonna let those same moments happen again with this cavs team, i promise

after lebron shoulder checked spoelstra in dallas the heat won 21 of their next 22 games but i bet there will be a "lebron shoulder checks blatt" type moment w/ the cavs this year that the press totally flips out about (or maybe this is it)
