Klay smash was nice. And yah that inbound play was no good.

xpost wade is a detestable wangbag who has no knees. you can't expect a dude who needed to be rested 29 games to be effective at all to serve as the anchor of yr franchise.

don't we have this conversation every year? and it always ends the same way (wade breaks down at the end of the season)

Feel like he might be showing out the first couple of games given the media talk over the year

Like prove that he's not 1) washed up 2) can function without Bron

Bosh is the big story for me on the Heat tho

Yup Wade is still really good but he inevitably sputters out and gets worse and worse as the season goes along

He just can't hold up over 82 games and especially long playoff runs when defenses key in on him anymore

I can't imagine he will be s real threat by the spring since now any playoff opponent can put their best wing defender on him instead of Lebron

I'm not that surprised Bosh is coming out strong though I still think he can be a #1 option for a fairly competitive east team, he basically spent the last four years saving some wear and tear by being the third option and they played four or five out and ditched offensive rebounds so far less banging inside than when he was the man in Toronto

Also he's never had any real injury problems beyond the time he missed a couple playoff rounds a few years ago iirc

more importantly bosh is averaging 26/11/4 with 55% shooting from 3

yeah wade will never be his old self but 75% wade is still a star in this league. btw looking like the heat are going to be a playoff team, lowe was saying there was a good chance they'd fall out but i just didn't see it.

i think zach's arguments against the heat made sense and if bosh or wade gets hurt for an extended period of time things might get dicey

but i think he was underrating the system the heat have in place, it's been a pretty seamless transition so far and it's mostly just been running the entire offense thru bosh

i think people talked a lot about how the heat did a lot of the groundwork for the cavs in how to utilize lebron but even with him leaving the heat benefit too from having that system in place

i wouldn't be surprised if the heat bust out to like a 15-5 start and then fall back a bit once the rest of the league gets up to speed

I am more intrigued with the Heat right now than I have been since year one of the Bron era. i kinda like this team.

it's hard to get over the sheer drop in dynamism with lebron leaving but it's kind of a funky team and bosh is a joy

last years heat team wasn't fun to watch at all for me. other than lebron i mean

their pg situation is funny, maybe shabazz will work out? they still don't have a center besides bird man who is a 36 year old relying on athleticism. i like mcbob

As far as I've seen Napier looks more like a basketball player so far than any other rookie guard besides Payton and Smart-defensively

bazz has looked good but that's not entirely surprising

norris has been hitting threes so far but he always seems to run very hot and cold

they're using chalmers off the ball a lot

napier is a fucking murderer with 3s - which, based on present and last year's stats, have not exactly been a heat area of expertise.

if Trey Burke wasn't garbage the Jazz would be onto something here. As it is they're probably going to make a nice leap in a year when they rip off the bandaid and get a different PG.
