either way mychal thompson (father of klay) has been predicting the lakers are capable of 48 wins this year. FOURTY FUCKING EIGHT. when pressed on this this morning one of the co talking heads was like "dude the over under is 31 and Im having a hard time taking the over.. you still think theyre capable of 48?" then this dumb motherfucker responds 'well thats only if theyre healthy.. if they can stay healthy they can win 48'

yeah warriors are stuck their cap situation means theres no way to replace him if he took someone elses max offer

i didn't pick this but i really really think the warriors can make a run at the west finals

they won't toe to toe with the spurs two years back in their first ever series and i think if they were healthy last year they would've beaten the clippers in the first round

i think okc wld beat the cavs tho cause the cavs cant play D

i dunno how many teams in the west can really afford to do that

pop is no doubt ahead of the curve on resting players but i don't think people appreciate how unique of a situation he's in on so many levels (star players take less money so their depth is exceptional, unparalleled job security, immense respect of players owing to tenure etc)

i'm not sure if kerr in his first year trying to revamp the office can just ice bogut for a third of the season -- the difference between home court in the first round and the 7 seed is like 2 games

they have the pieces to be a good enough offensive playoff team this time imho, whether or not thibs can put the pieces together idk, really too bad they didnt get melo

yeah it was fluky but still just his injury history generally

bron shouldn't play as much as he did last year but i dunno how much blatt can rest him -- they have a lot to build there and their back up wings are all 85 year old guys who shouldn't be playing much either

i mean he should be relied on way less than he was with the heat last year and the cavs are def afforded that opportunity because of kyrie and love

but it's not like you want to be throwing mike miller, james jones and shawn marion out there every night either

feel like the warriors cld afford to rest bogut if their offense is as good as people are expecting they can shoot a lot of bad/mediocre teams out of the gym
