theyre going to have rondo back for one at least until he gets traded, rondo-bradley-smart shd be the best defensive backcourt in the league, this will be their second year with m/l the same team/same coach so that shd benefit them some, and theyve looked better in the preseason imo just more together, obvs theyre not gonna be good but i cld def see them surprising people w their competency

sully I'm actually not that worried about. rondo will def be playing to impress suitors so that will help (I think if he goes to the knicks it's just as a rental). the backcourt is defensively strong though idk about it overall vs. certain others in the east, namely a certain dougie-ing fellow and Bradley beal

sully is good now it just drives me crazy how getting in shape wld take his game to the next level and hes not doing it

he's def leaner. had a nice over the shoulder pass to nader too.

everyone is talking about the weight loss which is a good improvement, but the jump looks like he changed it a lot and it looks like a realistic nba shot, he used to bring the ball too far back and his whole form just seemed really uncoordinated, it looks fluid now and hes cocking the ball further forward

its funny in summer league everyone was freaking out over tatums fall away midrange game and there was even one sportswriter who was worried abt his future because thats not a efficient shot even tho really he was taking all types of shots and the fallaway was just what made the hightlights, anyway since the real nba has started hes barely taken one of those instead hes hitting 50% on threes and doin stuff like this

marcus seems not that great at basketball fwiw his main move is taking contested mid range shots, hes kinda undersized and not that athletic so he cant really defend or rebound, also hes convinced he shd be starting, his brother is/plays bigger tho so he has more of a role as physical inside presence/can play some center

yeah they got played by the suns. i woulda been mad too but at the same time like dudes you cant really expect to just be on the same team forever.

the conventional wisdom around the league is that theyre a bad influence on each other lol

theyre both just pretty middle of the road PFs in the league. good guys to have on the team at the right price. especially if you get one like marcus who is helping the young stud with the life of an nba baller pro tips and such.

there was a good kyrie moment in todays game where jaylen and kyrie both went for the same defensive rebound jaylen fell down and kyrie got the rebound then kyrie while dribbling offers jaylen a hand up and jaylen gives him this expression like wtf are you doing play basketball

one crazy thing to think abt with the celtics success this year is not only are they doing it while only returning one starter from last year and losing hayward which shook up their rotations even further but theyve played the most games in the league so far which means theyve had almost no time to practice

the flip side of the being they are v well positioned to have a good rest of the season
