earliest use of twin towers i can think of is sampson-olajuwon though i'd guess any time you had two good big men that were on the court at the same time some sports writer was gonna immediately latch on to that post-1972 or so. rip city all time one also. dream team was good cuz there were always those posters in the 80s w/ the dream team - magic, mj, dr j, bird always on it, the fifth spot kinda changed. obv by 92 dr j wasn't remotely an option and bird was nearly honorary but it was still already built in. jail blazers and lob city my faves - both just scream 'fun'. the big three one's are kinda lame plus fuck you relegating dennis johnson to an afterthought like he's craig hodges or something.

also want to thank you guys for not taking the 'lorde live tweets bulls game' bait

phi slamma jamma will always be number one nickname imo. flawlessly combines wit & exuberance!

I feel like I remember saying this a couple times as a Freudian slip or maybe it was an already present joke on the mean streets of uptown portland before it went broad but I def remember seeing the phrase in print/web and being like "oh they caught on" but idk that was a long time ago like house of jealous lovers times who knows man primordial soup
