lol knicks fans tonight one who was super amped re getting jackson told me their plan shd definitely include amnestying amare

― lag∞n, Saturday, March 15, 2014

this is totally the plan.

  • Phase One: Amnesty Amar'e
  • Phase Two: Sign Jordan, Pippen, Kobe, and Shaq

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 15 March 2014 17:22 (twelve years ago)

Getting rid of Amare would grant a lot of freedom for the Knicks

Nhex, Saturday, 15 March 2014 17:38 (twelve years ago)

sure, but that's the joek, since nyk can't amnesty amar'e.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 15 March 2014 17:41 (twelve years ago)

Michael Wallace ‏@WallaceNBA_ESPN -- Wade on roles: "It's never going 2 be ideal. Whenever u have this much talent, some1 is going 2 feel left out. We all have good intentions"

they're breaking-up after this season rip, miami maybe we can sign nate robinson and tyler hansbrough as replacements in the off-season.

Nineteen my god

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Saturday, 15 March 2014 23:25 (twelve years ago)

yeah theyre really doin it

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 March 2014 23:26 (twelve years ago)

remember when they started the season 3-0

Spottie, Saturday, 15 March 2014 23:28 (twelve years ago)

I don't really care about tanking but I feel like executives should get fined or something for losing streaks that ridiculous

Or everyone on the team should have to play in summer league and average double figures in something or their contracts are cancelled

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Saturday, 15 March 2014 23:28 (twelve years ago)

i agree with the sports guy bill simmons that tanking is bad for the league

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 March 2014 23:33 (twelve years ago)

like you want teams to compete thats how good games happen, the incentives are all messed up

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 March 2014 23:34 (twelve years ago)

Many of the flyers advertising the Black Five games offer "basketball games and dance." They often combined ragtime, the music of the day, with basketball games as a way to bring in the crowds.

p cool

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:17 (twelve years ago)

sports guy bill Simmons totally stole the relegation idea from ilh btw I know I posted it years ago only semi-jokingly but seriously the Maine red claws are probably fielding a more nba ready team than the sixers right now who are essentially starting two undrafted rookies - Henry sims played 2 games last year and some something called Hollis Thompson is their small forward

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:24 (twelve years ago)

Nba def needs more ragtime

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:24 (twelve years ago)

P sick of I got a feeling bring on the Scott Joplin

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:25 (twelve years ago)

obvs all sports and maybe all things shd have relegation, relegation is so cool

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:27 (twelve years ago)

This is the real thing for me there's no reason every game tonight should be trash just bc they all have one or two lottery teams

I still like the idea I saw from someone in hockey proposing something like: once a team is eliminated, every win is worth more lottery entries so the incentive is at least to be the best worst team

Don't tell me nerlens Noel wouldn't be out there in two weeks smashing on the bucks if a bunch of lottery odds were on the line

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:29 (twelve years ago)

Heh relegation is the best like music should have relegation jay-z should be trying to play his way back out of the rap d league right now

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:30 (twelve years ago)

Peter Vecsey ‏@PeterVecsey1 -- Phil Jackson couldn't be happier the Knicks came after him so strong. Then again, he's a little peeved no offer was ever made by the Vatican

lol

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:48 (twelve years ago)

NBA on ESPN ‏@ESPNNBA 6s
"That was a power move right there." - Carmelo Anthony the Knicks' hiring of Phil Jackson (via @IanBegley). http://es.pn/1cL3m3k

melos impressed

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 00:52 (twelve years ago)

noah is the best player now? (23p, 11r, 8a)

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 02:41 (twelve years ago)

he is doing some crazy shit

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 March 2014 02:46 (twelve years ago)

how is this possible

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 02:48 (twelve years ago)

its kind of beautiful, hes forcing haters to respect him

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 March 2014 02:56 (twelve years ago)

people dont really hate on his game tho they hate on his person

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:02 (twelve years ago)

but srsly he is not really this good is he

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:03 (twelve years ago)

hes a winner, and winners win

rhyme heals all goons (m bison), Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:06 (twelve years ago)

xp i hear that i feel like his game and person were tied in ppl's minds tho, like he was this annoying effort/energy guy not this ultra-skilled player.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:18 (twelve years ago)

also he has stupid hair

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:45 (twelve years ago)

yeah thats true good call xp i mean he is def a high energy player but he also has skills which is a bad combo... for the other team

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:52 (twelve years ago)

jo is definitely on one right now, i think this is the absolute peak of his skillset. it's really fun though.

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:54 (twelve years ago)

i'm interested in hearing thibs talk (at some point) about basically morphing his offense into being run through joakim at the top of the key

he's really been an incredibly precise passer, though

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:55 (twelve years ago)

it's pretty brilliant though if you can swing it. boozer gives them enough spacing that if joakim has the ball at the top of the key the defense never has any rim protection. they just backcut you to death.

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:56 (twelve years ago)

yeah all otm, interesting move by thibbs considering hes usually thought of as a pretty conventional offensive coach

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:57 (twelve years ago)

i wonder if part of it isnt just the weirdness of the scheme throwing teams off, like if they had a moment to consider it they could figure out how to exploit his weaknesses to defend that situation better

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 03:59 (twelve years ago)

yeah the key is probably to stay home on all the shooters but no one seems to be doing that and noah is just finding whoever is open

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:01 (twelve years ago)

yeah seems like if you play off him a half step and make him a mid range shooter thats yr best bet

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:06 (twelve years ago)

jo is definitely on one right now, i think this is the absolute peak of his skillset.

jo? you talkin' 'boutJermaine ONeal?

Aimless, Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:15 (twelve years ago)

lol

side-spin set shots all day bruh

Spottie, Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:16 (twelve years ago)

“When I was playing,” he says, “I was getting close to my other high and once I finally beat it by 10 or something, then I was able to relax a little bit and just keep going. Once you’re past it, the pressure goes away. The pressure is in getting close.”

Just how far did Budinger sail past his previous career high? He nearly doubled it, finishing with an unfathomable 327 points.

In Flappy Bird.

"Ricky [Rubio] is second," explains Ronny Turiaf, who brought the game to the team and seems to be the makeshift commissioner of the Wolves’ Flappy Bird league. "He has 187, and I’m third. I got 113."

Asked who on the team is the worst, Turiaf replies, "By far, and I mean by far: Corey Brewer."

"I think his high is six," Budinger says.

Brewer, trotting through the locker room behind Budinger, growls, "Get off me, man. I got seven. Seven's my high."

yeah i think the bulls are gonna have the same (offensive) problems as always once the playoffs start

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:30 (twelve years ago)

maaaan remember how fun nate nate was in the playoffs last year?

Spottie, Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:37 (twelve years ago)

yeah there were def a few offensively capable supporting guys the bulls if theyd held onto theyd be in better shape right now

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:41 (twelve years ago)

yeah belinelli & nate were ballers

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:42 (twelve years ago)

that's why i'm not buying the "no one wants to play the bulls in the playoffs this year!" line because as good as they've been since the ASB i still think this year's team is worse than last year's

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:42 (twelve years ago)

it sort of makes no sense how the bulls have a horrible team offense yet in each of the last two years they've had random bench guys become full-on offensive revelations

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 16 March 2014 04:45 (twelve years ago)
