^what's up with this are they trying to fall out of the playoffs? i guess dropping to ninth and getting in the lottery is a lot better than a four-game sweep against the pacers or heat, and we've definitely seen enough first round exits for the hawks over the last few years so it's not like it would be some huge psychological boost

people keep saying this and yea i guess ideally you'd rather play the wizards or whatever but the heat are 8-2 vs the bulls in the big 3 era i don't think they're sweating it

i'm sure the heat would win, but (a) it will be a physically-exhausting series and (b) chances of injury seem higher to me versus bulls than versus most other teams, just cuz of chippy-ness and physicality.

i dunno, the average score in the heat/bulls series last year was 97-84 miami. they won three of five games by double digits. it's not that physically demanding when you can coast for half the series.

it's obvious why people *think* playing the bulls would "take something out of you" in the playoffs or whatever except i see no evidence of it in the thibs era, either statistically or anecdotally (are there quotes of any team being like "wow, the bulls. sheesh. we're wrecked." after a playoff series?)

they just end up getting beat and the world keeps turning. a lot of playoff series are tough once you get passed the first round.

Noah signed a five-year contract extension with the Bulls in Oct, 2010. I'm thinking that wraps him up until July, 2016.
