NYK playing well now, to impress the new boss.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 00:45 (twelve years ago)

also obvs biding his time until he can swoop in and coach them to a title

lag∞n, Sunday, 9 March 2014 00:45 (twelve years ago)

haha

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 00:45 (twelve years ago)

that would be very unlike him, since jackson is well known for building and coaching a champion from scratch.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 00:46 (twelve years ago)

Phil: Yo, Chris... Gonna say no to resigning Amar'e. Now gimme 15 billion dollars

, Sunday, 9 March 2014 00:48 (twelve years ago)

phil: we will assemble a champion. is derek fisher a free agent?

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 00:54 (twelve years ago)

nyk playing tonight to impress phil (new boss from afar). cavs tonight playing to impress lebron (watching game in a cavs suite).

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 01:04 (twelve years ago)

Lol Phil ain't doing that shit he's playing us again y'all

But wait doesn't he usually profess some love for the Knicks since he played for them

And you know there's some part of him that hates that pat Riley gets this in his bio and he doesn't: "He is the first and only North American sports figure to win a championship as a player, coach (both assistant and head), and executive."

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 9 March 2014 01:22 (twelve years ago)

lol yeah prob

lag∞n, Sunday, 9 March 2014 01:24 (twelve years ago)

this game is a comedy of errors. phil should call lebron, right now, and both take a vow to stay in their current roles.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:25 (twelve years ago)

can anyone think of a precedent for an active nba player sitting in the private box at another team's arena for a regular season game against a third team?

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:25 (twelve years ago)

was wondering the same thing. was also wondering -- while z seems like a good player and good fellow -- whether retiring his jersey was something the caveliers would do if they weren't trying to woo back lebron this offseason.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:26 (twelve years ago)

yo spencer hawes is awful

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:49 (twelve years ago)

spencer haws more like

lag∞n, Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:53 (twelve years ago)

hm. carmelo scores. normally he's a pass-first player, but i guess he had the perfect angle.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 02:56 (twelve years ago)

No joke haw is a cool fruit and you can make a ton of great stuff from it

caveliers announcers pearls of wisdom, with 3:30 left:

  • "you need to get scores and stops now"
  • "the time for errors is over"
  • "they have to push now"
  • "there's time, but you cannot afford too many mistakes"
taking notes.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:00 (twelve years ago)

cavs lose by double digits RIP to lebron

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:12 (twelve years ago)

holy hell these nba game-time announcers talking about how the knicks are ascendant.

baron davis: "i like the position the knicks are in; they're desperate." uh-huh.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:18 (twelve years ago)

it's nice to see them desperately flailing for rebounds rather than depressingly sleepwalking through games

Nhex, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:23 (twelve years ago)

new york knicks 2013 -- 2014: "desperately flailing for rebounds"

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:24 (twelve years ago)

on a good night!

Nhex, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:27 (twelve years ago)

What the heck is Chris Paul wearing

, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:44 (twelve years ago)

cliff has terrible fashion sense.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:45 (twelve years ago)

You need to stop with these Chris/cliff jokes buddy

, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:47 (twelve years ago)

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:48 (twelve years ago)

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:48 (twelve years ago)

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 9 March 2014 03:48 (twelve years ago)

So much Teague fail over the last minute.

Spottie, Sunday, 9 March 2014 06:02 (twelve years ago)

TBF I was surprised they called the foul against Blake earlier

, Sunday, 9 March 2014 06:04 (twelve years ago)

After Teague had basically attempted to mug CP3 like five times

, Sunday, 9 March 2014 06:04 (twelve years ago)

That really was a mess

rhyme heals all goons (m bison), Sunday, 9 March 2014 14:26 (twelve years ago)

the hawks have lost 14 out of 15 and are still firmly in the 8th seed

Heez, Sunday, 9 March 2014 16:08 (twelve years ago)

^what's up with this are they trying to fall out of the playoffs? i guess dropping to ninth and getting in the lottery is a lot better than a four-game sweep against the pacers or heat, and we've definitely seen enough first round exits for the hawks over the last few years so it's not like it would be some huge psychological boost

Seattle has more players currently in the NBA than Brooklyn Manhattan and The Bronx combined.
