Yo dayo report back on them peaks if you get them I'm always terrified to go outside the big shoe names because I find everything else (save some runner specialists like brooks) fall apart mad quick

It would be hilarious to rock some Damon jones li nings or something just around the house though

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Saturday, 8 March 2014 03:07 (twelve years ago)

Tru tru

Best advice I found even though it sounds like some planned obsolescence bs is just replace yr shoes a lot, like probably way sooner than you think you need to, esp for running or hoops

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Saturday, 8 March 2014 03:15 (twelve years ago)

Holy hell those way of wades got beat with an ugly stick wearing zubaz pants

The mostly-white version is ok basically an old air Jordan rip

Spottie, Saturday, 8 March 2014 04:56 (twelve years ago)

MJ tried to sue them iirc but I don't think he was successful

lol I could give you like ten different reasons why I'm 99.99% sure he was not successful

rhyme heals all goons (m bison), Saturday, 8 March 2014 15:51 (twelve years ago)

this shit is so weird http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10568992/lebron-james-return-cleveland-just-one-night-stand

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 8 March 2014 18:00 (twelve years ago)

The Cavs even chose this date in October after consulting with James on whether he'd be able to fly over from Chicago, where the Heat are staying on an off night. Technically, James is coming at Ilgauskas' request, but the process of picking the game revolved around James' schedule and was orchestrated by the Cavs.

this is soooooo bizarre

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 8 March 2014 18:12 (twelve years ago)

During the free agency pitch meetings in Cleveland that summer, the Cavs came to the table in James' downtown offices with a custom-made cartoon that featured a bunch of fart jokes and characters that mocked other teams in the league. The Cavs knew James' personality well, including his love of low-brow humor. They played to it, and James roared with laughter and there were smiles all around. It was fun.

...

lmao wut

lag∞n, Saturday, 8 March 2014 20:18 (twelve years ago)

Lil B has reignited his feud with NBA star Kevin Durant in a new diss track. It's called "Fuck KD".

RARE LIL B CROSSOVER! COLLECT THEM ALL!!!

NBA Legion ‏@MySportsLegion -- Phil Jackson is close to accepting a job with Knicks to become president of basketball operations. (via ESPN)

huh.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:05 (twelve years ago)

i would be stunned

k3vin k., Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:08 (twelve years ago)

i guess it wouldn't be a shock but also why would phil jump into the most dysfunctional front office in the nba w/ a team that's cap situation is immeasurably screwed up

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:09 (twelve years ago)

what does president of basketball operations do exactly

Clay, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:11 (twelve years ago)

riley's job.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:12 (twelve years ago)

assembling roster; running draft; managing cap.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:12 (twelve years ago)

maybe he figures if they give him total control he can turn it around and be a hero to nyc

lag∞n, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:13 (twelve years ago)

probably as much or as little as he wants

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:13 (twelve years ago)

xp to clay

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:13 (twelve years ago)

yeah, the notion of a basketball GM is fairly elastic

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:14 (twelve years ago)

oh yeah well that's a dumb thing for phil to do for the knicks since it is basically not a job anyone could reasonably do in the next 5 years or so

Clay, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:14 (twelve years ago)

i suppose his hiring would persuade melo to stay? eh.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:15 (twelve years ago)

but it's probably good to get some, like, intelligence in an office at msg

Clay, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:15 (twelve years ago)

the knicks are obvs epically fucked from a cap etc standpoint but they do have a built in advantage for attracting free agents which isnt nothing

lag∞n, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:16 (twelve years ago)

his role would prob be close to that of team president a la riley or bird, yeah. but those guys can mold the front office the way they want.

riley makes most (all?) basketball decisions and works closely with a cap guy

bird meanwhile hired a nominal GM but prob still has input on basketball decisions

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:17 (twelve years ago)

Phil never struck me as the guy to bring in on a rebuilding project. Not much patience with young players. Having him as the architect of a major overhaul seems dumb.

polyphonic, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:25 (twelve years ago)

assume knicks sign phil and keep carmelo. what do they do, with who is available and their cap space, over the next three years? not sure who constitutes the pieces they could get to build around anthony.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:31 (twelve years ago)

it won't matter if they can't convince melo to take a massive pay cut

k3vin k., Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:39 (twelve years ago)

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

assuming they extend melo (which phil or no phil i sorta doubt this happens) add ~25 million increasing by a couple million annually til 2019 or whatever. so they have some flexibility in the summer of 2016.

Clay, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:39 (twelve years ago)

but that flexibility comes along with basically having no players

Clay, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:40 (twelve years ago)

well, that was the heat's plan, too.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:41 (twelve years ago)

i dunno. this feels more like a "bill parcells becomes head of dolphins football operations" than "pat riley becomes head of heat basketball operations." but maybe he'd be fantastic, who knows.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:42 (twelve years ago)

Jordan Schultz ‏@Schultz_Report -- I would expect Phil Jackson to take over Knicks Head of Basketball Operations by Monday.

done deal?

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 8 March 2014 23:43 (twelve years ago)
