another topic on the simmons/lowe podcast. names they threw out: blake, dragic, noah

blake is def in the top 8 or so. dragic and noah are interesting picks,

i would put blake over CP3

btw i think the wolves are a game above .500 now

Sometimes I feel like there should be multiple MVP-type awards, like one for best player on best team, and one for a Dragic-type situation where someone massively exceeds expectations and turns a written-off team into a playoff contender.

he said that he wouldn't really give love and harden mvp consideration because they're both "DHs." he said "if you're gonna get an MVP vote i need you to play both ways" or something to that effect

i mean cp3 is obv still better but he's missed a lot of time and when he went out blake completely elevated his game

Aldridge deserves to be mentioned for MVP, but Aldridge doesn't deserve to win MVP.

He’ll cup his ears to hear more, feign anger, smile and applaud some good zingers, and even throw up his hands and make a sad face in mock offense. Just a great time.

idk he's been great so far, doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing, which is volume shooting against other teams' 2nd units. Even in these first four games, pretty obvious how much of an upgrade he is from 2014 Granger.

Ok I've seen it on enough different league pass broadcasts to say there's something wack about the lighting in Cleveland's arena

That said dude probably loves shooting a little too much! He's really a great penetrator and has had no problems getting to the basket. But he really shouldn't be relying on his perimeter game, which is pretty awful, and a massive negative if you're a volume shooter.

I think that the harsh reality of Chinese centers is that Yao Ming is really an outlier - before him you had Wang Zhizhi and Mengke Bateer who were pretty much complete failures

And Chinese guards/forwards have also largely been subpar (Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue)

But I would love for that dude to succeed
