another topic on the simmons/lowe podcast. names they threw out: blake, dragic, noah

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 4 March 2014 16:54 (twelve years ago)

blake is def in the top 8 or so. dragic and noah are interesting picks,

k3vin k., Tuesday, 4 March 2014 17:01 (twelve years ago)

i would put blake over CP3

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 4 March 2014 17:03 (twelve years ago)

btw i think the wolves are a game above .500 now

jordan was simmons still giving love shit for the wolves not being good?

k3vin k., Tuesday, 4 March 2014 17:03 (twelve years ago)

Sometimes I feel like there should be multiple MVP-type awards, like one for best player on best team, and one for a Dragic-type situation where someone massively exceeds expectations and turns a written-off team into a playoff contender.

yeah it's interesting, the clips barely missed a beat with paul out. then again crawford was playing really well too

he said that he wouldn't really give love and harden mvp consideration because they're both "DHs." he said "if you're gonna get an MVP vote i need you to play both ways" or something to that effect

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 4 March 2014 17:05 (twelve years ago)

i mean cp3 is obv still better but he's missed a lot of time and when he went out blake completely elevated his game

le goon (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 4 March 2014 17:06 (twelve years ago)

Aldridge deserves to be mentioned for MVP, but Aldridge doesn't deserve to win MVP.

Aimless, Tuesday, 4 March 2014 18:48 (twelve years ago)

If you ever get a chance to sit near the court at a Pacers road game, watch the way Stephenson interacts with fans who taunt him. He’s gregarious about it! He’ll cup his ears to hear more, feign anger, smile and applaud some good zingers, and even throw up his hands and make a sad face in mock offense. Just a great time.

Lol this is perfect

moullet, Tuesday, 4 March 2014 21:24 (twelve years ago)

I love players that understand that it's all a big wrestling match; you gotta work the crowd

Nhex, Tuesday, 4 March 2014 21:31 (twelve years ago)

Spottie, Tuesday, 4 March 2014 21:43 (twelve years ago)

waiting for lance stephenson to hit someone across the back with a steel chair, wwe-style.

Flying elbow off the top of the backboard

james franco tur(oll)ing test (Hurting 2), Tuesday, 4 March 2014 21:53 (twelve years ago)

haha. suplex into the post.

Daniel, Esq 2, Tuesday, 4 March 2014 22:01 (twelve years ago)

now that's how you reenergize the dunk contest

Clay, Tuesday, 4 March 2014 22:14 (twelve years ago)

evan turner fits perfectly into the pacers offensive gameplan of taking bad shots

micah, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 00:44 (twelve years ago)

idk he's been great so far, doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing, which is volume shooting against other teams' 2nd units. Even in these first four games, pretty obvious how much of an upgrade he is from 2014 Granger.

Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 00:50 (twelve years ago)

1-5 3pt , so far, in 4 games

moullet, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:04 (twelve years ago)

Ok I've seen it on enough different league pass broadcasts to say there's something wack about the lighting in Cleveland's arena

It looks like a convenience store full of cheap fluorescents and there's all this glare in the court

It's probably why waiters and Kyrie hate each other

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:07 (twelve years ago)

That said dude probably loves shooting a little too much! He's really a great penetrator and has had no problems getting to the basket. But he really shouldn't be relying on his perimeter game, which is pretty awful, and a massive negative if you're a volume shooter.

Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:08 (twelve years ago)

龜 have you seen this dude

mookieproof, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:11 (twelve years ago)

miami will face the letdown-game of all letdown-games tonight.

Daniel, Esq 2, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:13 (twelve years ago)

Nah I haven't mookie

I think that the harsh reality of Chinese centers is that Yao Ming is really an outlier - before him you had Wang Zhizhi and Mengke Bateer who were pretty much complete failures

And Chinese guards/forwards have also largely been subpar (Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue)

But I would love for that dude to succeed

rockets analyst just said "he's probably made the most three point shots ever" about ray allen

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:36 (twelve years ago)

also said that chandler parsons goaltending LeBron on a 1-on-2 break was a good play because you have to make LeBron "earn it"

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:37 (twelve years ago)

ah, sweet incompetance

Aimless, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 01:37 (twelve years ago)

Is Lance wearing Mardi Gras shoes?

Curry's turnovers are a serious problem

Spottie, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:21 (twelve years ago)

PG switched over to him, I think that's the 3rd TO in the last five minutes.

Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:22 (twelve years ago)

Is bogut hurt or in foul trouble? Jermaine oneal is playing crunch time and blew two possessions in a row

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:22 (twelve years ago)

Yeah it's telling that they had iggy handle the ball a few possessions ago re curry tos

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:23 (twelve years ago)

Bogut shooting like -%75 fts probably has something to do w/ it.

Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:23 (twelve years ago)

just started watching, boguts numbers have been limited since coming back from a shoulder thing

Spottie, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:23 (twelve years ago)

wow klay

Spottie, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:24 (twelve years ago)

Klaaaay

if you stan for nothing you'll fall for everything (symsymsym), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:25 (twelve years ago)

Ouch. Cool comeback tho.

Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:25 (twelve years ago)

Ah yes I always forget that bogut is bad at the line and the elbow injury didn't help

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:26 (twelve years ago)

wow close by PG! good win for dubs

Spottie, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:27 (twelve years ago)

That spin move from klay was so sweet

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:27 (twelve years ago)

yeah good footwork to seal the defender

Spottie, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:28 (twelve years ago)

that was a nice play by mark jackson

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:29 (twelve years ago)

Curry had like 4 TOs in crunch time the other night that sealed the Raps victory

Spottie, Wednesday, 5 March 2014 02:34 (twelve years ago)
