Ian Begley ‏@IanBegley 17m

Carmelo says his shooting hand is "very sore" after taking "multiple hits" on Friday vs. Golden State. He may get tests on the injury.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 1 March 2014 04:51 (twelve years ago)

hang it up for the season, melo.

Daniel, Esq 2, Saturday, 1 March 2014 04:53 (twelve years ago)

he got beat the hell up during that game... for nothing

Nhex, Saturday, 1 March 2014 05:06 (twelve years ago)

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:12 (twelve years ago)

J0rd do you have any tidbits about CHANDLER V. SPEIGHTS

, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:20 (twelve years ago)

I just realized there's a whitey named Withey on the Pelicans *lol*

, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:20 (twelve years ago)

Draymond is a pretty solid role player tbf. At times been the only guy bringing energy off the bench. Not a good shooter but seems to hit at opportune times. Good defender. Hustles. Gets his hands on a lot of balls. Idk he's been better than Barnes for a good chunk of the season.

Spottie, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:43 (twelve years ago)

Chandler just seemed like a frustrated baby. Speights did nothing at all.

Spottie, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:44 (twelve years ago)

Yeah I was just sort of loling at my screen when that went down

Love how Speights played him like a piano

, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:45 (twelve years ago)

Speights is a pretty chill bro tbf. My fav part was after the chandler thing Jeremy Tyler was trying to get into speights head and speights blocked his shot and threw it off Tyler's balls to save it from going out of bounds.

Spottie, Saturday, 1 March 2014 06:52 (twelve years ago)

yeah no i don't even know what sparked that fight i assume it was just general aggravation on tyson's part

it was fucking hilarious that speights drilled two jumpers right in his eye though, of all players

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 1 March 2014 07:52 (twelve years ago)

the only insight i have out of that is that i was under the impression that chandler was kind of unassailable amongst knick fans for being the dirty work guy and also being a generally good player but nah they were jeering the shit out of that guy all night, it seemed like a bizarrely toxic relationship

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 1 March 2014 07:53 (twelve years ago)

melo is definitely well liked and i think there's a total "JR being JR" attitude about JR but man people all over the arena (and since i was by myself i was kinda just hopping around different sections to whatever open seat i could grab) were laying into chandler all night, especially cuz the warriors (notably jermaine o neal) were getting tons of baskets at the rim

this has gone too far

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 March 2014 13:05 (twelve years ago)

Speights had some magical five minutes last night. Great smile from him after the flop and-1 -> Chandler hard foul/2nd T and Speights just disengaged.

Speights has been so much better over the last couple months. Even had a crazy 30 point night a couple weeks back.

Spottie, Saturday, 1 March 2014 16:14 (twelve years ago)

he's been p good

i remember when he was the darling of the stat community because his per-36 stats were bananas but then it never really scaled up all that well

he's decent for a fourth rotation big which means it's not all that surprising that he's bounced around but will probably stick around for years

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Saturday, 1 March 2014 17:19 (twelve years ago)

It's helped that oneal is back so he doesn't have to play small ball center as much.

Spottie, Saturday, 1 March 2014 17:29 (twelve years ago)

lmao this kid guest broadcaster at the heat game, going to be very sad when he dies of alcohol poisoning at his first frat party in a couple of years

evan turner fits perfectly into the pacers offensive gameplan of taking bad shots

k3vin k., Sunday, 2 March 2014 03:06 (twelve years ago)

i want to see an article written on why centers have to be involved in plays swinging the ball across the court at the beginning of plays. who thought of this??

k3vin k., Sunday, 2 March 2014 03:18 (twelve years ago)

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 2 March 2014 05:31 (twelve years ago)

True story about 5 minutes ago my dad asked me if cliff Paul was his real twin or if Chris Paul played both characters. Dads

Spottie, Sunday, 2 March 2014 05:42 (twelve years ago)

"wow, i'm really interested to see where they take the cliff and chris paul story next."

-- said no one, ever.

One thing I learned is that the blazers merch shop is now selling game of thrones-styled tshirts that say "playoffs are coming" which inspired a severe eyeroll outta me.

Clay, Sunday, 2 March 2014 06:58 (twelve years ago)

only one game on national tv tomorrow u_u

still think the smart money is on the thunder but there are 4 really, really good teams in the west, 2 really good teams, and a few dangerous ones. it's nuts that there might be a team with a .600 winning percentage that misses the playoffs

k3vin k., Sunday, 2 March 2014 15:41 (twelve years ago)

I think its lovely that the Lakers are so irrelevant that even hating them seems like a stupid waste of energy.

Aimless, Sunday, 2 March 2014 17:32 (twelve years ago)

never, i am enjoying their misery. fuck the lakers forever, even in times of abject pitiable despair
