how was that not a lane violation on howard

k3vin k., Monday, 24 February 2014 04:46 (twelve years ago)

refs are so full of shit

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 24 February 2014 04:48 (twelve years ago)

Suns really got screwed. Beverly game ball tho.

Spottie, Monday, 24 February 2014 04:58 (twelve years ago)

was pondering this today: is dragic the best international point guard in nba history after tony parker

le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 February 2014 05:24 (twelve years ago)

i'm not counting nash as foreign

le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 February 2014 05:25 (twelve years ago)

if you were making a 13-man team of the best international players in nba history dragic would almost definitely be on it right?

le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 February 2014 05:25 (twelve years ago)

i'd imagine guys who went to college in the us don't count? because otherwise you end up with like olajuwon and so forth on there.

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:35 (twelve years ago)

well i don't mean the 13 best international players

but the pool of international players is so slanted towards bigs that i feel like dragic would make the roster

i don't think i'd count guys who spent significant time in the US prior to the nba tho no

le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 February 2014 05:37 (twelve years ago)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foreign_NBA_players

, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:39 (twelve years ago)

loose list is something like
c: yao, smits, sabonis
pf: nowitzki, pau gasol
sf: schrempf, stojakovic, kukoc
sg: ginobili, petrovic
pg: parker, dragic

something like that off the top of my head

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:40 (twelve years ago)

*skips over Canada* Barbosa tho

, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:42 (twelve years ago)

Dragic is better than Barbosa by this point

, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:43 (twelve years ago)

way

Spottie, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:43 (twelve years ago)

I'd probably add AK47 and Ilgauskas to that list

Calderon's another strong international point

, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:44 (twelve years ago)

yeah i went kukoc over kirilenko but debated it for a moment. you could add him for sure.

batum is a guy who could get there down the line maybe, he just turned 25.

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:47 (twelve years ago)

Ibaka too

, Monday, 24 February 2014 05:51 (twelve years ago)

divac, mutumbo

k3vin k., Monday, 24 February 2014 06:30 (twelve years ago)

Mutombo went to Georgetown

, Monday, 24 February 2014 06:31 (twelve years ago)

vlade is one of my all-time faves (dude was a pack a day smoker like ten years into his career! imagine that!) and he had the greatest personality but i feel like he's a step below yao and smits. maybe on par with sabonis but sabonis joined the nba in his mid-30's or so (he'd probably be considered an all-time great had he played his whole professional career in the states).

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 06:36 (twelve years ago)

Also flopped a lot

, Monday, 24 February 2014 06:42 (twelve years ago)

glad to see petrovic on that list

Aimless, Monday, 24 February 2014 07:16 (twelve years ago)

if we're going to exclude guys who played college ball in the u.s., smits and schrempf don't count either.

circles, Monday, 24 February 2014 07:27 (twelve years ago)

didn't know that! always associated them with first gen euros so I didn't look into it.

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 07:42 (twelve years ago)

(so sub in ilgauskus for skits and ak47 for detlef I suppose)

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 07:42 (twelve years ago)

Sabonis not being in the NBA isn't enough to bump him off imo, at least if we're excluding everyone with US college experience. We have enough footage and he got them a gold medal.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 24 February 2014 07:59 (twelve years ago)

shit that block + oop got me amped, feel like im ready to punch someone in the throat

rhyme heals all goons (m bison), Monday, 24 February 2014 12:24 (twelve years ago)

Yeah you should make a youtube where it just cuts to ANTE UP after the dunk

, Monday, 24 February 2014 12:29 (twelve years ago)

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 24 February 2014 12:33 (twelve years ago)

Lol xp!!

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 24 February 2014 12:34 (twelve years ago)

Re Collins I'm p sure we knew he would get picked up late the only surprising thing is that big baby became available and stole the spot i assumed doc had ready for him on the clippers, and I totally didn't think of the fact that he played with j Kidd and Garnett probably doesn't give a fuck if you are from Jupiter if you can play some post defense

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 24 February 2014 12:36 (twelve years ago)

Unless yr a euro obv then he will fight u

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 24 February 2014 12:37 (twelve years ago)

Was def thinking Hornacek seems like a cool coach to play for, like that he is

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Monday, 24 February 2014 12:38 (twelve years ago)

Oops...committed to the suns house style of uptempo ball despite coming through Utah as a coach

Dude was amazing back when for sure

the fact that he got a hard, satisfying volleyball spike off a fastbreak dunk AND that it landed on court where his teammate could grab it -- maybe the latter half is just luck, but damn.

Burt Stuntin (Hurting 2), Monday, 24 February 2014 17:10 (twelve years ago)

he got UP

lag∞n, Monday, 24 February 2014 17:11 (twelve years ago)

considering how high percentage a fastbreak attempt at the rim is (both ways), that has to be one of the most impactful blocks of the season

le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 February 2014 17:27 (twelve years ago)

Considering his trajectory too, flying BACKWARD through the air so the power is all coming from the swat and not his momentum.

lag∞n, Monday, 24 February 2014 18:24 (twelve years ago)

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 19:33 (twelve years ago)

He said McMillan!

polyphonic, Monday, 24 February 2014 21:16 (twelve years ago)

must've missed it in my singleminded quest to undermine and discredit Jamal Crawford

Clay, Monday, 24 February 2014 21:23 (twelve years ago)

he said it really fast, like nay mamilla

call all destroyer, Monday, 24 February 2014 21:25 (twelve years ago)

unsure if the knicks did something insane or smart http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/66204/why-iman-shumpert-is-still-a-knick

le goon (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 February 2014 21:58 (twelve years ago)

Chris Sheridan ‏@sheridanhoops -- Wizards just announced Nene will be out 6 weeks with sprained MCL.

Daniel, Esq 2, Monday, 24 February 2014 22:47 (twelve years ago)

shump is a bad player

k3vin k., Tuesday, 25 February 2014 01:01 (twelve years ago)

the knicks twittersphere was really questioning whether the proposed shump-felton/collison-barnes trade was a good idea for the knicks. just the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen
