I'm glad the Suns didn't do a short-term move at the deadline, just roll with these guys and make some good picks imo

they're kind of amazing? i think people predicted they'd be a lottery-team before the season started.

they probably deserve coach of the year and executive of the year

they deserve all the plaudits

does hornacek have a lot of experience as a coach? great player, but seems like he came out of left-field as coach.

they're fun to watch, that's for sure.

he was an assistant coach with the jazz and I think that's about it xp

i agree, this season is a massive win already and they have every reason to play for the future. there isn't a player available who would really change their playoff results.

this is kind of fluff but one thing i really dug was hornacek and the front office seemed to have this concept of "suns basketball" as a fun uptempo attack that they wanted to hold to, and the thing i maybe like most about this team is that it is so much in character of great suns teams of the past.

hornacek just seems like the most chill coach ever, he's becoming my favorite NBA person

otm, tho i'm kinda thinking about watching some baseball again. nice, slooooooow game.

we tangled with the collins stuff last summer when he came out. not sure i have a whole lot to say about it other than "finally" and "this is a great step forward, obviously." I hope he was well-received, extraordinarily so, by the crowd. but idk maybe it's a testament to how progressive the nba culture is compared to football and baseball that none of us really even brought it up. there was article after article on all the major bball blogs, of course and i read at least 3 or 4 reax this afternoon.

The coming out was a bigger deal than him stepping on a court again imo. Cool story although I doubt he gets beyond a second 10 day contract.

yeah i mean kenneth faried was raised by two women and runs a charity specifically aimed at lgbt youth in sports, despite identifying as straight as far as i know. damian lillard has a huge anti-bullying campaign he pushes really hard in portland and oakland schools. the nba skews younger in the ages of its players and more coastal in its locales than the other major sports.

if you were making a 13-man team of the best international players in nba history dragic would almost definitely be on it right?

i'd imagine guys who went to college in the us don't count? because otherwise you end up with like olajuwon and so forth on there.

well i don't mean the 13 best international players

but the pool of international players is so slanted towards bigs that i feel like dragic would make the roster
