that's right hibachi, at least as far as the commentators could figure. i've never seen this happen though, where it actually hits his head and bounces OUT of the rim, before even going all the way through the net

Mike Woodson confirms that the Knicks are negotiating buyouts with Metta World Peace and Beno Udrih.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 00:40 (twelve years ago)

A little surprised they couldn't do something more with Metta. Udrih wanted a trade, I guess nobody wanted him.

Nhex, Sunday, 23 February 2014 00:55 (twelve years ago)

Udrih was actually a good player last year, maybe the food in New York is too good

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 00:58 (twelve years ago)

i'm sure that's also Felton's excuse

Nhex, Sunday, 23 February 2014 01:01 (twelve years ago)

haha. caron's not bad.

he's not good, either. 33 years old*, ~46% effective fg% (which basically means he shoots a ton of long two's and misses them), and a negative OWS. some of that might be a function of playing for the bucks but dude is way cooked. he misses about one in four games with minor injuries.

(* as a 33 year old it's pretty rough to right this down as a major negative, but butler relied pretty strongly on his athleticism throughout his career).

Clay, Sunday, 23 February 2014 01:47 (twelve years ago)

lol right/write hey everyone i never graduated from college

Clay, Sunday, 23 February 2014 01:47 (twelve years ago)

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:44 (twelve years ago)

man are the Knicks toast or what

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:45 (twelve years ago)

hawks had lost 8 in a row and were without Millsap (also they're "battling" the knicks for the 8th seed)

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:50 (twelve years ago)

knicks are 4.5 games out from eighth, I'd say it's all over but for the whiny Post editorial

Nhex, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:51 (twelve years ago)

both the Wizards and the Bobcats are making the playoffs this year. it feels so wrong

Nhex, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:51 (twelve years ago)

i support that very much if some shitty ass teams have to make it at least give the real shitty ass teams a shot theyve been through so much

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:53 (twelve years ago)

can't believe the bulls are gonna have homecourt in the first round despite all the heartbreak

Clay, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:56 (twelve years ago)

don't worry, rose may think about thinking about coming back

Spottie, Sunday, 23 February 2014 02:59 (twelve years ago)

as it currently stands btw

1 pacers vs 8 hawks
2 heat vs 7 bobcats
3 raptors vs 6 nets
4 bulls vs 5 wizards

not a single one of these is watchable

Clay, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:00 (twelve years ago)

bulls/wiz must see tv

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:00 (twelve years ago)

al jeff would be a problem for the heat tbf, and kemba is doing things, and they have a pretty stingy defense.

But yeah Im fishing, those matchups are grosssss

Spottie, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:03 (twelve years ago)

meanwhile

1 thunder vs 8 mavs (grizz 1.5 games out and playing well)
2 spurs vs 7 warriors
3 rockets vs 6 suns
4 clippers vs 5 blazers

i want to watch this forever

Clay, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:06 (twelve years ago)

daniel never met a has-been he didnt want on the heat, surprised were not still getting that eddy curry newsleter

― lag∞n, Saturday, February 22, 2014

true. there are some current players i do not want on the heat, tho:

  • tyler hansbrough
  • lance stephenson
  • austin daye
  • earl clark
  • derek fisher
  • jan vesely
  • cliff paul
  • nate the great© (wait, i take this one back, maybe)
reading the wiki entry on eddy curry unearthed this horrible event in his personal life i didn't know about:

Curry's ex-girlfriend, Nova Henry, and their nine-month-old daughter Ava were found murdered in Chicago on January 25, 2009. A paternity test proved that Ava was the daughter of Curry and Henry. Their three-year old son Noah was found unharmed at the scene. Two counts of first degree murder were brought against 36-year-old attorney Frederick Goings on February 22, 2009; Goings had served as Henry's attorney in a custody case about Ava against Curry. Goings was convicted of all charges against him on February 13, 2013.

wow.

Daniel, Esq 2, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:13 (twelve years ago)

Kevin Love having a totally bananas game, 5 threes already

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:49 (twelve years ago)

34-11-9 through 3 o_O

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 03:51 (twelve years ago)

Love gets his first triple double with a touchdown pass to brewer, finishes with 37-12-10 in 33m

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 February 2014 04:07 (twelve years ago)

damn

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 12:20 (twelve years ago)

this tankathon is really coming down to the wire, four teams tied w 19 wins, knicks only two games back lol

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 12:29 (twelve years ago)

the knicks blew a 17 point lead to the hawks, who were on an 8 game losing streak, the night after losing to the magic, with dallas, golden state, and the heat next week

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 23 February 2014 14:25 (twelve years ago)

the knicks' next four games are: dallas, @ miami, golden state, @ chicago ... they could be 18 games under .500 this time next week

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 23 February 2014 14:27 (twelve years ago)

after that it gets super easy though

@det, @ min, utah, @ cle, @ phi, bos, mil

the upside of this is that the knicks could knock themselves out of the playoffs by blowing two of those games

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 23 February 2014 14:28 (twelve years ago)

what was that site that simulated the lottery?

k3vin k., Sunday, 23 February 2014 15:28 (twelve years ago)

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 16:28 (twelve years ago)

based on this thing the jazz totally fucked up their chances of getting jabari

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 23 February 2014 17:13 (twelve years ago)

the raptors are in the top 10 in both offense and defense now

k3vin k., Sunday, 23 February 2014 17:13 (twelve years ago)

impressive considering their roster lowery is ballin

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 February 2014 17:25 (twelve years ago)

Clips just hung 72 in OKC in a half, this game is fun, nobody really playing any defense

Nice to see that the rule where you're allowed to maul Griffin under the basket at any time has been rescinded, the foul on Ibaka away from the shot was correct since he was basically wrestling Blake and then shoved him to the ground

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 23 February 2014 19:11 (twelve years ago)

Heh I got the celtics winning the lottery and taking embiid on the third try, hopefully Adam silver will just redraw the lottery until that happens

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 23 February 2014 19:14 (twelve years ago)

http://espn.go.com/nba/lottery2013/mockdraft

An explosive athlete who can score from anywhere on the floor, Bennett is a beast in transition and a terrific finisher. He also has 3-point range and is a good ball handler. Bennett is undersized as an NBA power forward and can get lost on defense, but he had a terrific freshman season. The question is, at what point are you willing to draft an undersized power forward?

Clay, Sunday, 23 February 2014 19:24 (twelve years ago)

Oden is starting

polyphonic, Sunday, 23 February 2014 19:50 (twelve years ago)

Griffin just talked some serious shit to Ibaka after hitting a 3, a playoff series with these two teams would be very fun & contentious

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 23 February 2014 19:52 (twelve years ago)

Love that the Sunday abc doubleheaders are back! My favorite time of year.

Spottie, Sunday, 23 February 2014 19:57 (twelve years ago)

We will never be rid of zombie Derek fisher hitting late threes will we

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 23 February 2014 20:05 (twelve years ago)

D fish die slow

Spottie, Sunday, 23 February 2014 20:06 (twelve years ago)

Yeah spottie the Sunday doubleheaders are just in time to remind me that even though football is over, spring and the playoffs are coming

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Sunday, 23 February 2014 20:07 (twelve years ago)

Yah man. Ballin ass weather. March madness. Spring training (the only interesting mlb time besides the playoffs). NBA playoff hunt and playoffs obv.

Spottie, Sunday, 23 February 2014 20:12 (twelve years ago)

Jeez d fish having the best game of his last ten years
