Spottie, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 17:34 (twelve years ago)

or oneal. so small is the name of the game tonight

Spottie, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 17:34 (twelve years ago)

this throwaway bit from the woj article on cavs organizational issues is kind of hilarious:

He stopped trying on the floor, and became a disruptive presence in practices. Before Bynum was thrown out of his final practice and suspended, he was shooting the ball every time he touched it in a practice scrimmage, sources said – from whatever remote part of the court he had caught the ball.

tbf, this strategy made carmelo a superstar

Clay, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:03 (twelve years ago)

spottie your fixation on jermaine oneal is adorable, dude is beyond broken

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:12 (twelve years ago)

god i hope that blake/bieber story was real and that blake used the godfather's "you can act like a man" backhand on him

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:12 (twelve years ago)

the most awesome part of the woj story is the unnamed cavs exec who yelled "we're never coming back!" when they won the 2013 lotto.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:17 (twelve years ago)

part of what's so great about it is that it's obviously 100% true

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:17 (twelve years ago)

lol bynum

I know I know but when your bench is as thin as the warriors bench you take whatever hope you can get. just let me be.

Spottie, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:23 (twelve years ago)

hah

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:26 (twelve years ago)

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:28 (twelve years ago)

love this guy

polyphonic, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:41 (twelve years ago)

surprised no coaches stabbed him to death

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 22:56 (twelve years ago)

bynum is a worthless asshole with no redeeming qualities.

he's the rebel's version of a wolf in sheep's clothing

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:38 (twelve years ago)

he's interesting in a sad way... not every difficult nba player is breaking ground. some just suck as humans.

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:41 (twelve years ago)

Not a v chill dude

Spottie, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:43 (twelve years ago)

bynum is funny in a broken indifferent cog in an otherwise well oiled money printing nba machine kind of way

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:49 (twelve years ago)

i feel like there's a definite post-iverson desire to incubate/celebrate(/fetisihize) difficult nba players but some don't deserve that embrace

bynum sucks as a human and is a drag to watch. there's no artistry in his game. he has no personality. there's no frisson. he's just a clown, sometimes a sad one.

good riddance

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:49 (twelve years ago)

pacers signing copeland to a multi-year deal then nailing him to the bench is like the 255th most bizarre aspect of the 2014 season but bizarre nonetheless

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:52 (twelve years ago)

i can kinda see it. they don't really need to give him the minutes atm and he could be a good long-term grower

Nhex, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:55 (twelve years ago)

he's 29!

le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:55 (twelve years ago)

lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:55 (twelve years ago)

@ZachLowe_NBA: Marc Gasol is lip-synching "Call Me Maybe," playing over the PA system, as he warms up.

lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:57 (twelve years ago)

hah ok, that's true

Nhex, Wednesday, 12 February 2014 23:58 (twelve years ago)

Zach Lowe ‏@ZachLowe_NBA -- Important info from Orlando press row: Marc Gasol is lip-synching "Call Me Maybe," playing over the PA system, as he warms up.

lol

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 13 February 2014 00:20 (twelve years ago)

I forgot copeland existed until that graphic, what a middle finger to the Knicks "oh look you have an interesting player there guess what no ones ever gonna see him again"

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Thursday, 13 February 2014 00:47 (twelve years ago)

Amin Elhassan ‏@AminESPN -- Oh no RT @ZachLowe_NBA: Gasol holding his left knee. Immediately raised his hand, asked Joerger to call a timeout.

f--g a.

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 13 February 2014 01:47 (twelve years ago)

tsrobodo, Thursday, 13 February 2014 02:54 (twelve years ago)

Nuggets season is so weird

Spottie, Thursday, 13 February 2014 03:01 (twelve years ago)

chris paul looks like the damn iron man with all his protective gear

Clay, Thursday, 13 February 2014 03:50 (twelve years ago)

every time i watch the warriors i become once again astounded by how many harrrison barnes post up/isos they run

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:08 (twelve years ago)

btw the knicks have 11 home games in the second half

ELEVEN

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:09 (twelve years ago)

here is their sched

road, road, road, road, home, road, home, road, road, road, home, road, home, road, home, home, road, home, road, road, road, road, road, home, home, road, road, home, road, home

they legit might miss the playoffs

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:11 (twelve years ago)

that's insane

call all destroyer, Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:14 (twelve years ago)

well knicks are currently 2.5 games behind charlotte for the 8th seed. currently at .385, assuming that the 8th seed remains at .434, the eight seed will need to win 36 games on the year, so the knicks need to win 16 of their last 30. so they're probably missing the playoffs unless they play above .500 ball here on.

Clay, Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:23 (twelve years ago)

hollinger predictor has them with 34 wins, which puts the knicks at $2.5m in player salary per win btw. (phx projected at $1.1m/win atm)

Clay, Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:27 (twelve years ago)

wtf was that defense bron

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 04:29 (twelve years ago)

don't even hate that foul from leonard

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:23 (twelve years ago)

ugh that cp3 flop

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:28 (twelve years ago)

wow lebron's crosscourt no-look side-pass game is so right

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:31 (twelve years ago)

looking at the matchups, literally every single west first round series will be better than anything in the east excepting the ecf

Clay, Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:40 (twelve years ago)

rolling into the all-star break it's currently okc vs phx, spurs vs mavs, pdx vs gsw, clips vs rockets. i'd watch all of these rapt, other than maybe spurs/mavs. dirk could get hot and make it interesting tho.

Clay, Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:43 (twelve years ago)

lebron is really sassy tonight

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:46 (twelve years ago)

35 lead changes thus far in lac/pdx

Clay, Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:50 (twelve years ago)

wow cp3 just did something i've never seen before -- he had a jump ball with robin lopez, so instead of trying to outjump him, he ran behind lopez as soon as the ball went up, caught lopez's tip, and started running for his own basket. apparently this is a violation of some sort because the refs didn't allow it, but still pretty cool

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:52 (twelve years ago)

omg lebron

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:53 (twelve years ago)

let's see if lebron gets the 2 for 1 with 47.7 secs...

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 February 2014 05:53 (twelve years ago)
