"Better" sets a fairly low bar, tbf. If he weren't better in his 2nd year, at his age and with his limited college experience, it would be worse than sad for a 1st round guard pick. We should all be happy he is improving, though. The real proof of the pudding will be when his rookie contract expires.

So Dennis Schröder looks really impressive guarding the ball, dude is gonna be perennial All D once he starts getting actual minutes. He'd be a nightmare playing more minutes and hounding pgs full-court.

its been so frustrating watch Shelvin Mack steal all of his minutes, but Mack has actually been pretty great this year so it's hard to argue. Schröder still turns the ball over way too much.
