between dwight, cp3 and bynum i think this offseason could be more interesting than the lebron year
― J0rdan S., Friday, 31 May 2013 16:49 (thirteen years ago)
pretty sure this broussard 'cp3s feelings are hurt' story is some bullshit and he re-signs with the clippers.. dwight is another fucking story. that guy needs to gtfola
― panettone for the painfully alone (mayor jingleberries), Friday, 31 May 2013 20:36 (thirteen years ago)
i think cp3 will re-sign too but i wouldn't be shocked if the clippers just screwed it all up

During the Grizzlies' playoff run, tensions turned to a confrontation when Hollins exploded during a practice session upon finding Hollinger had walked onto the practice court and engaged forward Austin Daye during a shooting drill, multiple sources told Yahoo! Sports. With the team watching – and with a motive to show his players that he was completely in charge on the floor, sources said – Hollins loudly questioned Hollinger about what he was doing, and why he believed it was appropriate for a management official to intrude on what's considered sacred territory for a coach and team, sources said.

"sacred territory"
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 June 2013 13:56 (thirteen years ago)
so obvious that hollinger would turn scapegoat
― moullet, Monday, 3 June 2013 14:27 (thirteen years ago)
That "sacred territory" stuff just another way to say "he stepped onto Lionel's turf".
― Aimless, Monday, 3 June 2013 18:35 (thirteen years ago)
Austin Daye is on the Grizzlies?

good god
Analysis: The Pelicans will take a long, hard look at both Burke and Syracuse's Michael Carter-Williams. But I'm not sure they'll bite. This team drafted Austin Rivers last year to be its point guard of the future and sources say that the team hasn't given up on Rivers, despite a miserable rookie season.

am i nuts or is a 3/36 offer for monta something of a lowball?
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 8 June 2013 14:09 (twelve years ago)
i think monta needs a reality check regarding what a team wants to pay him in 2013
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 8 June 2013 14:51 (twelve years ago)
yeah it's certainly below what monta is looking for--i'm wondering if it's a given that some team will come along with a higher offer.
monta was born abt 12 years too late.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 8 June 2013 14:54 (twelve years ago)
Sounds like Bucks already made the decision to keep Jennings, so why not offer Monta a lowball offer to see if he takes it. Volume-shooting guards seem to always get overpaid during FA, so I'm sure someone is gonna offer him more $ or same money/more years.
Super curious about what will happen w/ Bynum this offseason. Since he has two major strikes against him -- prone to major injuries + not a team leader / coachable dude -- probably means he won't get max deal offers. Would love to see him on a vet / solidified team that needs an extra big. Can, uh ... Miami find a way to hire him for a year?
Also, has there been any Rondo trade talk? Kinda hoping Celtics looking to blow up the team w/ impending Garnett retirement and PP running out of gas soon; that said, since this draft is so weak, this probably isn't the right offseason to blow shit up for prospects.

got to think bynum will take a short offer to prove he can stay healthy then try to cash in w a long max deal
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:28 (twelve years ago)
can only see the celtics moving rondo for an established star or a sure thing draft pick
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:29 (twelve years ago)
tho I wonder what would happen if a team offered bynum like 4/40

Four years of irritating futility?
― IM ME, I DO ME, AND I CHILL (CompuPost), Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:33 (twelve years ago)
I just want Rondo in a new situation where his one and only job is to dole out as many assists/game as possible and not surrounded by olds / random roster fodder. Basically, either on a Western Conference team or a team that is in dire need of a trü pg.
― IM ME, I DO ME, AND I CHILL (CompuPost), Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:34 (twelve years ago)
maybe but its intriguing cause healthy bynum is worth more than the max, he could make a lot of teams contenders real fast xp
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:36 (twelve years ago)
agreed rondo on a fast paced team w a bunch of scorers would be so sick
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:37 (twelve years ago)
maybe rondo to the nuggs
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:38 (twelve years ago)
ilh would prob esplode
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:40 (twelve years ago)
oh man, wd love to watch rondo on the nuggs

i bet a team rolls the dice on a long term deal
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:43 (twelve years ago)
max deal? idk
btw as a c's fan i totally bless #traderondo
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:45 (twelve years ago)
im not sure, letting go of good players is dicey
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:54 (twelve years ago)
best policy is prob to wait for the next disgruntled superstar demanding trade
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:56 (twelve years ago)
or james harden cap terror type situation
i love rondo but he is kind of an icing on the cake guy
he would be awesome in houston w/harden, parsons et al i think
if i were a western gm i'd be trying to get him to defend parker/westbrook/conley and as a bonus if you already have a solid team you get to utilize PLAYOFF RONDO which is a whole different animal
― joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:57 (twelve years ago)
Any team w/o a solid locker room / established player leadership that throws either max money or max years to Andrew Bynum is begging for multiple lottery years. You cannot go anywhere w/ Bynum as your star player, full stop. And that's totally disregarding the fact that he's basically only played one full season his 7-year career.
Wish there were a package Nuggs could offer Celtics that could make sense.
― IM ME, I DO ME, AND I CHILL (CompuPost), Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:58 (twelve years ago)
naw bynum is a legit star when healthy he does everything
― lag∞n, Saturday, 8 June 2013 15:59 (twelve years ago)
but if im danny im probably just trying to rebuild around rondo on the fly because right now it looks like anything below third in the east (after mia, ind and chi if rose ever plays basketball again) will be wide open the next couple of years
xp's

― joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Saturday, 8 June 2013 16:00 (twelve years ago)
rondo's on such a good contract, it would be hard to get equal value back for him at that price unless someone trades a few really good young players
