HOUSTON — The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers have been discussing a deal to trade forward Kevin Garnett for guard Eric Bledsoe and center DeAndre Jordan, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

I am so ready for some celtics blockbusters, also the clips would prob be title favorites w that trade

that'd be a good trade possibly a great move for both teams? dk if it puts the clippers ahead of miami but it certainly makes for a fun and weird group.

yeah it's pretty farfetched

garnett for bledsoe and deandre sounds much more plausible tho

if i were the clippers i think i'd do that in a heartbeat. they might be the favorites in the west at that point

Totally farfetched but exciting just that was (maybe?) floated by either team.

Feel like the Celtics don't do it because they don't need another pg-- think that Bledsoe goes to a team w/o a strong starting pg, and Celtics have two already (assuming Rondo is back by next year).

Not even sure who the starting five would be ... Jordan-Bass-Pierce-Bradley-Bledsoe? Switch in Terry for Bradley and bring Bradley off the bench? I don't know, just think that Bradley is someone you'd want to start grooming right now and pay big bucks in a few years. Not really sure why they'd bend over backwards to get rid of KG for Bledsoe.

It doesn't make sense for the Celtics, and it doesn't matter since KG has a no trade clause and won't waive it.

My inside info is from press reports after today's all star practice. From Marc Spears on twitter:

"If its up to me I will live and die green," KG said. When reminded its up to him, KG said: "OK then. So what are we talking about it?"

When asked if there was any team or circumstance that he would drop his trade clause for, Kevin Garnett simply said: "No."

agreed that its p ridiculous but its w/in the realm of possibility if the lakers become convinced that a)theyre not making the playoffs and b) dwights leaving in the offseason

is rondo's torn ACL really worse than Dwight's hole in his spine?

probably it is, but it's not like they're trading a healthy dude here

maybe not but if they wanted to trade dwight they could probably find someone who could actually play within the next 12 months

maybe the lakers should try developing their own talent instead of grabbing broken guys who get a lot of all-star votes

well they traded all their draft picks for steve nash (broken guy with a a lot of all-star votes) so that might not be possible

well they hate playing deandre in crunch time vs good teams and a millsap-blake frontline would be pretty damn good... def better than what they can throw out there as the alternative

"amazing" is not a word i'd use to describe millsap. i mean, he's better than bledsoe right now but the fit is weird. he's 6-8 and doesn't play much taller than that

but it's like they've spent so long as an org constantly tinkering and filling the holes left when donald sterling refuses to pay anyone beyond their rookie deal that they don't know how to just enjoy having an actual good basketball team for once.

there's a good piece waiting to be written on whatever it was that knocked donald sterling off his donkey and stood him up with the desire in his heart to win it all just once before shuffling off this mortal coil...
