Not sure how this would affect his court presence, but it can't but help take some burden off his knees. As long ago as during his first lost nba season I thought he ought not to be bulking up his upper body in the weight room, but slimming down. I still wish him well, but I doubt he'll be able to come back.

Greg has played 82 games in 6 years which would seemingly set all kinds of records if he really came back

Yeah, it was actually six years for Sampson (misread the '88 season as three seasons), so if Oden comes back he should have this locked up.
