I mean serious though, these guys would have never even thrown a punch if NO one was around.

trad goon (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Thursday, 10 January 2013 00:01 (thirteen years ago)

Kings/Royals are both dope names, but both are obviously cursed. Sucks because Seattle Kings / Seattle Royals both sound dope imo. They should at least burn all Kings-related graphic design predating 1990; former logo + unis were great.

Royals won a world series though. Few things compare to what has happened to the Kings. Those fans have to live with game 6 and their franchise withering and leaving.

http://aol.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2013-01-05/amare-stoudemire-injury-stats-defense-knicks-suns-mike-dantoni-mike-woodson-melo

In discussing the New York Knicks’ new focus on guarding the opposition, Stoudemire said he hadn’t “been taught defense” in his 10-year NBA career before this season. D’Antoni, now head coach of the LA Lakers, coached Stoudemire in Phoenix and New York. He was astounded upon hearing the statement, to say the least.

Did a player ever threaten to fight Tommy in the parking lot after the game? "They wouldn't dare."

kind of amazing how clips have turned a bunch of the laker's old trash and an unrepentant gunner into a killer defensive bench mob

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Thursday, 10 January 2013 00:27 (thirteen years ago)

matt barnes has always been kinda underrated though, i wanted the c's to get him a couple years ago when they ended up with pietrus instead

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Thursday, 10 January 2013 00:27 (thirteen years ago)

super psyched for the nu-sonics, hope that really happens

rebounders, rebounders, rebounders!

balmer sees that paul allen has preserved a public profile after leaving microsoft only because he owns two sports teams. balmer wants to be noticed, I'm guessing.

Aimless, Thursday, 10 January 2013 01:27 (thirteen years ago)

tommy says abt jeff green 'one dribble drives that exactly whats gonna make him a superstar'

lag∞n, Thursday, 10 January 2013 01:28 (thirteen years ago)

on melo:

“I get suspended for a phone hang-up and people just get away with anything in his league,” said a tongue-in-cheek Rajon Rondo, who was suspended one-game for allegedly bumping official Rodney Mott on Saturday in Atlanta and being “unresponsive” to a league inquiry on Monday. “Oh, my goodness, so that’s the same thing huh? The rep I’ve earned, I’ll have to deal with it.”

an eagle named "small government" (call all destroyer), Thursday, 10 January 2013 01:31 (thirteen years ago)

why the hell would that be a flagrant

an eagle named "small government" (call all destroyer), Thursday, 10 January 2013 01:32 (thirteen years ago)

cause it was unnecessary

prob. his greatest lifetime accomplishment

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:11 (thirteen years ago)

@haralabob

A former coach told me that Larry Sanders is basically Bill Russell, except he's playing against athletes. I like this theory.

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:34 (thirteen years ago)

if only the celtics bench played like that every night

an eagle named "small government" (call all destroyer), Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:49 (thirteen years ago)

brandon jennings 20 pts in 3rd quarter

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:52 (thirteen years ago)

That bench hasn't looked anywhere near being good enough to outscore the starters this season

tsrobodo, Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:53 (thirteen years ago)

jameer just hit one of the most unnecessarily difficult jumpshots i've ever seen. something like 16 left on the shit clock he's dribbling on the right wing, plants and elevates all in one motion, his body re-adjusting counter-clockwise in mid-air since he's right handed, and he banks it in off the glass

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:54 (thirteen years ago)

these rockets unis are a nod to their sizable chinese fanbase, no?

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Thursday, 10 January 2013 02:58 (thirteen years ago)

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob
Ya he's a great player. RT @DannyHorowitz: @haralabob Sanders projects to be pretty good in this era, no?

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob
Then again if you stuck LeBron in Russell's era.

Haralabos Voulgaris ‏@haralabob
If you stuck Larry Sanders in Bill Russell's era - not saying he'd be as good as Russell. But they'd be similar.

moullet, Thursday, 10 January 2013 03:28 (thirteen years ago)

Russell was more fluid than Sanders. As far as shotblocking goes I totally buy it though cuz I'm a sanders superfan.
