west is still so crazy hard though. blazers and jazz are going to be better next year. houston might add a piece. lakers who knows. it's hard to make that top 8 in the west!

it's pretty good gamesmanship if it costs the c's a game and ends up affecting where the hawks land in the playoff seeding!

(1) Disrespectfully addressing an official
(2) Physically contacting an official
(3) Overt actions indicating resentment to a call

There is no mandatory ejection. These are discretionary calls by the referee.

However:

Any player or coach guilty of intentional physical contact with an official shall automatically be suspended without pay for one game. A fine and/or longer period of suspension will result if circumstances so dictate.

After the game, if the league finds the contact is intentional, the penalty explicit in the rule book and is enforced regardless of whatever action the referee took at the time.

Re-read the article. He approached the refs after the game and game them a video of the play in question. I'm not a Celtics fan. That is snitching .
