no one talks about cp3's step back jumper but i think it's been the best in the league for a while

dead cera (J0rdan S.), Monday, 31 December 2012 15:38 (thirteen years ago)

in the playoffs vs the lakers two years ago he absolutely murdered their bigs off the pick and roll w/ that move

dead cera (J0rdan S.), Monday, 31 December 2012 15:38 (thirteen years ago)

all hayward wanted for christmas was a pair of ice skates

乒乓, Monday, 31 December 2012 15:45 (thirteen years ago)

You don't want big pieces of crap sitting on the floor during play. And you don't want to waste a lot of time or thought about how to dispose of it while the ball is alive.

Aimless, Monday, 31 December 2012 18:29 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah its totally the right move.

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Monday, 31 December 2012 19:17 (thirteen years ago)

how many rings does he need in order for us to have a real mj v lebron GOAT debate?

Todd Terragh - "It's the Harps" (m bison), Monday, 31 December 2012 19:19 (thirteen years ago)

five more seasons near the same level as the last several and it's a toss-up probably

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Monday, 31 December 2012 19:20 (thirteen years ago)

five (at least 3) champs too. if lebron keeps delivering without winning idk, ppl are mad

moullet, Monday, 31 December 2012 20:34 (thirteen years ago)

i doubt brons resume will match jordans when hes done, and im not even talking abt rungs cause thats a team achievement, but like even if he ends up being as good as jordan hell never compare to him as far as basketball skills go, bron is just a huge terrifying moster

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 20:41 (thirteen years ago)

what do you mean by basketball skills, bron would be like a mutant bird minus a little bit of shooting

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Monday, 31 December 2012 20:51 (thirteen years ago)

minus a lot of shooting, come on bro

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 21:09 (thirteen years ago)

Nash and Maravich were both more skilled than Jordan, people don't really care about skills as the ultimate arbiter of greatness nor should they

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 21:10 (thirteen years ago)

obvs skills are not the ultimate arbiter of greatness but as far as all time greats theres something particularly crude abt bron

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 21:47 (thirteen years ago)

he's no more crude than Magic Johnson, Wilt or Bill Russell, who are all top 10 locks.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 21:53 (thirteen years ago)

more crude

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 21:54 (thirteen years ago)

imo brons on-court intelligence has leaped a couple of levels the last two years, we'll probably only really know when he's like 35 and isn't the same bananas athlete he is now. right now it's hard to tell because he's just so physically overpowering but i think he's climbed to a mental tier a little bit below kobe, jordan, magic and bird- magic was more of an improvisational genius and kobes, bird and mj just had more competitive pathology

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:19 (thirteen years ago)

bron plays smarter than kobe imho

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:20 (thirteen years ago)

ya esp in the domain of ~shot selection~

Todd Terragh - "It's the Harps" (m bison), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:22 (thirteen years ago)

bron's a basketball genius in a lot of the ways magic was. Bron is kind of a Rick Barry/Magic hybrid imo.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:23 (thirteen years ago)

unfortunately hasn't learned how to shoot free throws as well as those guys

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:23 (thirteen years ago)

should go the ricky barry underhand route

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:24 (thirteen years ago)

yeah he kind of is! it's weird how he really has karl malone's body with magic's skills

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:26 (thirteen years ago)

btw all these terrible ft shooting big men (deandre, dwight) should absolutely shoot fts granny style

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:27 (thirteen years ago)

um excuse me but magic and brons skills are not that similar

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:28 (thirteen years ago)

bron's passing ability is a little magic-ish

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:29 (thirteen years ago)

but besides that

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:29 (thirteen years ago)

it was a stronger connection when they played him at pg as a rookie

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:30 (thirteen years ago)

i imagine a lebron late night show would also be a train wreck

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:30 (thirteen years ago)

i wish bron passed even more, besides his fast breaking its the most exciting part of his game

I think you're kinda forgetting how Magic was a physical force similar to Bron. Magic wasn't really a great ballhandler (probably a little worse than Bron really), but he was 6'9, fast and strong so it allowed him to use his passing skills and his incredible feel for the game.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:32 (thirteen years ago)

magic was a great argument for the giant point guard, it must be sweet to back down little guards and be able to look and pass right over the top of people

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:34 (thirteen years ago)

i remember seeing one episode of the magic show where magic and whoever the first guest was were just lecherously fawning over tyra banks who was on second, it was suposed to be all in good fun but it felt a lil too real

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:34 (thirteen years ago)

^^^I REMEMBER THIS IT WAS WEIRD

was the guest arsenio??? or did the same thing happen on arsenio

obvs skills are not the ultimate arbiter of greatness but as far as all time greats theres something particularly crude abt bron

― lag∞n, Monday, December 31, 2012 4:47 PM (55 minutes ago)

dude wtf he's an amazing passer and ballhandler for his size/position, likewise but less so as a rebounder, probably one of the best wing defenders ever...he's basically a walking advertisement for what a basketball player should look like. you're using some kind of arbitrary standard for "basketball skills" i'm unaware of

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:47 (thirteen years ago)

also this has nothing to do w/ this particular argument but bron is shooting 77% at the rim this year...

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Monday, 31 December 2012 22:48 (thirteen years ago)

bron is just big hes not good at basketball sry case closed

lag∞n, Monday, 31 December 2012 22:49 (thirteen years ago)
