oh just spill it
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 December 2012 04:25 (thirteen years ago)
I blame Parker and Ginobili for making flopping an acceptable activity for star players, I blame them for being insufferable floppers in general, Bowen was a dirty S.O.B. who never got called on it, Duncan's incessant whining about foul calls, Horry hipchecking Nash
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 04:38 (thirteen years ago)
btw charlotte is beating the lakers
how is duncan still so good wtf
I didn't expect him to still be this productive now but of all the really good-to-great players of the past 20 yrs or so his "prime years" game might have been the least predicated on athleticism. Still, all the pounding he must've taken as a low block player, it's remarkable.

"The Hornets are expected to change their nickname to the Pelicans, Rougarou, Mosquitos, Swamp Dogs or Bullsharks."
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 04:39 (thirteen years ago)
"well they're sure whining about Pelicans a lot out there, let's pick four completely insane options so they'll accept it"

ha yeah i mean it's shitty, but i'm willing to forgive that for their super fun euro drive & kick style of play, pop's ingenious coaching, their front office/scouting etc.
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 December 2012 04:42 (thirteen years ago)
Swamp Dogs yessss
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 19 December 2012 04:42 (thirteen years ago)

Considering the numbers I'm looking at, I have no idea how the lakers are in this game at all.
― Clay, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 05:44 (thirteen years ago)
tonight's javale line: 10-3-0-0-3 on 3-6 shooting in 11 minutes
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 December 2012 05:50 (thirteen years ago)
there should be a javale watch 2013 thread
― Clay, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 05:51 (thirteen years ago)
kemba's an all-star this year if there's any justice in the world.
― Clay, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 05:53 (thirteen years ago)
~22, 2 and 7 on 49% shooting in December, throw in 2 steals/game
― Clay, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 05:54 (thirteen years ago)
yeah he's having a really nice season for sure. and there's not exactly a surfeit of star guards in the east, but i kind of doubt it
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 December 2012 05:59 (thirteen years ago)
wow the lakers really had to give everything they had to beat a 7-16 team at home
― frogbs, Wednesday, 19 December 2012 06:02 (thirteen years ago)

Dwight has 16 and 18, Kobe has 30, they get so,e decent bench production and still they barely pull it out.

rose pretty good using the glass (tho not on jumpers), floaters (though i'd say there is a difference between his oft-used 'push shot' and a trad floater)
ball/head fakes? pierce, wade?
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 20 December 2012 00:05 (thirteen years ago)
melo, of course.
