tbh Adelman hates a lot of players who are good, he's a fickle dude

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:04 (thirteen years ago)

remember when he took forever to bench Nick Anderson for Peja? Man I'm getting old.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:04 (thirteen years ago)

*finicky, not fickle

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:05 (thirteen years ago)

Shaun Powell ‏@Powell2daPeople
Suns source: Michael Beasley is "toxic," team in tailspin, could lead to major shakeup.

am0n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:06 (thirteen years ago)

fickle or not, beasley is a headcase beyond belief

"I don't know who labels people stars, but even [T'wolves owner] Glen Taylor said: I don't think Kevin Love is a star, because he hasn't led us to the playoffs," Love told Yahoo! Sports. "I mean, it's not like I had much support out there.
"That's a tough pill to swallow."

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:29 (thirteen years ago)

hey I guess insulting your player for your entire tenure as a GM leads to problems whoda thunkit

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:33 (thirteen years ago)

i'm praying that kupchak fucks up the lakers cap situation before they realize they should be already planning for the day love walks

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:35 (thirteen years ago)

nah they know what's up

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:37 (thirteen years ago)

Nash expires in 2014-2015, they'll do a lot of 2 year deals this summer and that will be that.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:39 (thirteen years ago)

they're gonna need to shoot kobe's helicopter down with an RPG

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:44 (thirteen years ago)

has derrick williams been that bad? they really can't find him any minutes? that seems insane to me

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 21:48 (thirteen years ago)

moullet, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:03 (thirteen years ago)

ladies and gentleman, your starting 4 for the 2015-16 boston celtics...kevin love

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:04 (thirteen years ago)

this is downright garnett-esque too:

"I have a very, very good memory, and I always remember the people who have done right by me, and the people who have done wrong by me," he says. "It will be embedded in my brain, and something I won't forget about. There's no telling what will happen. I would love to compete for a championship in Minnesota, but …"

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:04 (thirteen years ago)

lots of smh quotes in the woj piece

moullet, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:05 (thirteen years ago)

not only does kahn draft players unworthy of his high picks, he then forces them to play ouf of position. david kahn!

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:05 (thirteen years ago)

the first public thing Kahn did as Wolves GM was tell a group of season ticket holders that Love would never be an all-star and that his ceiling was the 4th best guy on a contending team.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:09 (thirteen years ago)

yeah okay but youve got ricky rubio coming back, andrei kirilenko, nikola pekovic, chase budinger, a #2 pick backup, luke ridnour, even a russian guy ...

that's a roster no matter what love says

moullet, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:12 (thirteen years ago)

i'm not sure anyone could ever trust kahn

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:13 (thirteen years ago)

blow three top 5 picks in that fashion seems unforgivable regardless of anything else you've managed to do

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:16 (thirteen years ago)

4 top 6 picks, Al Jefferson, mountains of cap room and 3 full years as GM = Ricky Rubio, Andrei Kirilenko, Alexey Shved and Brandon Roy.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:34 (thirteen years ago)

the only player from Kahn's first two years that remains is Luke Ridnour.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:35 (thirteen years ago)

two years of acquisitions that is.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 22:35 (thirteen years ago)

@kpelton Austin Rivers is on pace to rate 8.1 wins below replacement. -6.5 (Jason Collins, 2006-07) is the lowest mark on record.

The Washington Wizards declined a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder for James Harden, according to multiple people with knowledge of the proposed deal.

Wizards' owner Ted Leonsis was unwilling to commit to an $80 million max contract offer over five seasons to Harden.

Bradley Beal and Chris Singleton would have been traded to the Thunder in return for Harden, according to sources.

Harden was ultimately traded by Oklahoma City to the Rockets.

One Wizards official denied that Oklahoma City had offered Harden in exchange for Beal and Singleton, stating that the Thunder was also seeking an established player — which the Wizards didn’t have — in return.

“That’s not true,” the official said about the proposed deal.
