Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:37 (thirteen years ago)

yeah so amir johnson got ejected because the ref wouldn't let him hold the ball for a while when the Blazers were shooting FTs and then after ejection decided to throw his mouthpiece at the ref

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:38 (thirteen years ago)

it was so weird that I'm a little suspicious of what was behind it. Most refs do let players hold the ball for a bit between FTs

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:39 (thirteen years ago)

so, about lin reverting to linsanity the minute that harden sits out.........

they need to figure this out

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:40 (thirteen years ago)

between ft's Amir grabbed the dead ball and a ref went over to take it. Amir wouldn't let it go. They both held onto the ball for a few seconds until Amir said something that led to the ref ejecting him. He had to be restrained and threw his mouthpiece at the ref as he was being held back. XP

Harden isn't making Lin brick open three pointers guys

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:40 (thirteen years ago)

thats not lins game!

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:41 (thirteen years ago)

i mean hes not a great shooter

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:41 (thirteen years ago)

everyone knows

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:41 (thirteen years ago)

i'm sort of like iatee with cars on this issue in that i support just about any ref action against any player hijinks during free throws. this includes high-fiving, stepping across the lane at the last minute, holding the ball, etc

well he is in the sense that his role has been dwindled to exactly that at times, so you're sort of missing literally the entire point

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:42 (thirteen years ago)

yeah lin should not be a jump shooter is the thing

k3vin k., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:42 (thirteen years ago)

during Linsanity Lin chucked up a ton of threes

my #hoopidea for having only one free throw ever that would be worth one two or three depending would solve everything

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:43 (thirteen years ago)

eh his game obv is pick and rolls, getting to the rim and drawing fouls. he's not going to last long as star shooting jumpers xp

k3vin k., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:44 (thirteen years ago)

he's actually getting more attempts at the rim in HOU than he did in NYK and shooting a better percentage on them. It's everything else that's plummeted.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 04:47 (thirteen years ago)

Luke Babbitt is funny

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:04 (thirteen years ago)

@jwquick I just watched Luke Babbitt drive past Mickael Pietrus and dunk over Ed Davis. For real. I swear

Clay, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:08 (thirteen years ago)

IIRC Babbitt had like a 40 inch vertical at the combine, but that's combine jumping not game jumping

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:10 (thirteen years ago)

toronto's interior defense is a joke

Clay, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:15 (thirteen years ago)

the toronto draft pick tanking is gonna be wild and woolly

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:19 (thirteen years ago)

if they crater this year how can colangelo survive

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:21 (thirteen years ago)

i mean i know he will so that's sort of rhetorical but really

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 05:21 (thirteen years ago)

the Blazers went 0-20 from 3 and won by 18

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 06:02 (thirteen years ago)

NBA record for three-pointers attempted without a make.

Clay, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 06:11 (thirteen years ago)

lol, deserves a place in the stats thread.

records of human futility have a special place in my heart

Clay, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 06:12 (thirteen years ago)

Oh man lillard 2-14 ouch.

Also, the Raps went 3-21 so both teams combined 3-41 oooooof

small-scale fux with (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Tuesday, 11 December 2012 06:15 (thirteen years ago)

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
DeMarcus Cousins says shot to O.J. Mayo's, um, groin was "not intentional." Mayo: "That guy has some mental issues."

moullet, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 18:14 (thirteen years ago)

Last season, the other teams that populated the top of the Long Two Leaderboard were teams like Charlotte (last in offensive efficiency), Philadelphia (20th), Boston (25th), Toronto (29th), and Washington (26th).

this argument would be much better rendered in ts% not efficiency! of course then the celtics wouldnt be cellar dwellers and yr argument isnt as good, celtics problem as always was turnovers, good piece overall tho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 18:18 (thirteen years ago)

yeah v interesting. parsons drilled 4 or 3 threes in the last 5 minutes last night. toney douglas is shooting p well last games (strange)

LMA in this houston team is my morey-project. a scoring big who could pop out. could turn out to be pretty (& efficient) bball.

moullet, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 18:23 (thirteen years ago)

anthony davis back tonight!

moullet, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 18:38 (thirteen years ago)

Givony (draftexpress): "As a Suns lottery pick, it is downright disturbing how poorly point guard Kendall Marshall is playing for Bakersfield of the D-League."

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 18:59 (thirteen years ago)

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/heatindex/articles/20121210phoenix-suns-putting-bad-bad-news.html

In their landfill of losses, the Suns were dumping the same empty regrets and re-commitments after one of their more lame losses when an opposing player summed it up more succinctly.

“We’re the ‘Bad News Bears’ and they’re worse than us,” the player told a cohort.

I realllllly want to know who said this.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 December 2012 19:55 (thirteen years ago)

has super cool been shitty? once adelman gave up on him i knew there was no hope

Andrew WKRP (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 11 December 2012 19:57 (thirteen years ago)

super shitty.

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 19:59 (thirteen years ago)

tbh Adelman hates a lot of players who are good, he's a fickle dude

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:04 (thirteen years ago)

remember when he took forever to bench Nick Anderson for Peja? Man I'm getting old.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:04 (thirteen years ago)

*finicky, not fickle

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:05 (thirteen years ago)

Shaun Powell ‏@Powell2daPeople
Suns source: Michael Beasley is "toxic," team in tailspin, could lead to major shakeup.

am0n, Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:06 (thirteen years ago)

fickle or not, beasley is a headcase beyond belief

Andrew WKRP (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 11 December 2012 20:21 (thirteen years ago)

"I don't know who labels people stars, but even [T'wolves owner] Glen Taylor said: I don't think Kevin Love is a star, because he hasn't led us to the playoffs," Love told Yahoo! Sports. "I mean, it's not like I had much support out there.
"That's a tough pill to swallow."
