it's true tho... "the suns training staff" is this mystical thing & yet no one knows anything about them? neither sports illustrated nor espn has ever done a feature? idgi
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 27 November 2012 16:54 (thirteen years ago)
the system they use is called sport kinesiology iirc, its abt testing all the diff muscle groups and figuring out where youre strong and where youre weak and then woking to make the weak parts strong

― lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 November 2012 18:18 (thirteen years ago)
it's weird that a franchise can do everything so poorly but do one thing better than anytime in the league and it's not even close
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 27 November 2012 18:19 (thirteen years ago)

― lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 November 2012 19:36 (thirteen years ago)
i thought it was total number of mentions not number of players
yeah... that was the original idea but we decided it would leave us open to pedantry
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 27 November 2012 19:37 (thirteen years ago)
kobe prob has more mentions than the rest of the nba combined
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 November 2012 19:39 (thirteen years ago)

some i took off the top of my head, but a lot of googling, yeah
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 27 November 2012 20:34 (thirteen years ago)
i predict thabeet will continue to excel at uncontested dunks w/his team up 40
This would have been a bold prediction at one point!
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 27 November 2012 20:49 (thirteen years ago)
For real though, that putback dunk was bananas, didn't know he had that in him
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 27 November 2012 20:51 (thirteen years ago)

I watched that shark tank episode when he called that guy out and made a big deal of it. Then a couple weeks later I ended up playing open gym basketball with the guy who got blasted.

Varejao is averaging 14-15-3 o_O
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 28 November 2012 00:42 (thirteen years ago)
that's insane but then you remember love averaged like 20-15-2 or 3 a couple years ago
― liljon /bia/ bia (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 01:22 (thirteen years ago)
that's insane when you realize what varejao has looked like playing basketball
― 乒乓, Wednesday, 28 November 2012 01:28 (thirteen years ago)
like who remembers when lbj passed to varejao to make a game winning shot in a playoff series and varejao tossing up the ugliest brick of all time

damn, hollinger dropped the hammer on ray felton today
In New York's case, it's been a series of unrelated surprises expanding its talent base, with factors such as a position shift (Carmelo Anthony), an unretirement (Rasheed Wallace), an unexpected rejuvenation (Jason Kidd) and the bankruptcy of Hostess (Raymond Felton).
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 28 November 2012 02:02 (thirteen years ago)
a world without ray felton fat jokes is not a world i'm interested in
