thabo has now shot well from three in his career for a grant total of four months. but yeah, teams will def have to be guarding him in the playoffs

it's almost like he's gotten better at it

Hey maybe it's all just variance! But it sure seems like he's a different dude since the lockout and leaving him wide open for three isn't a great idea.

oh yeah I forgot about the playoffs, where chris bosh revealed himself as a three point marksman in 2 games or whatever, good point

looking forward to chris bosh rallying from his 2-12 start from 3 this year

definitely one of the things we'll all remember about the nba lockout was how thabo sefalosha became a knockdown three-point shooter left open by opponents at their own peril

the thunder, btw, played half as many games in the playoffs as they did in the regular season. it's a completely valid sample.

chris bosh's entire career a marginally important sample

thabo's shooting 55 percent on corner threes this season, seems entirely sustainable and in no way will come down whatsoever

if you sum his playoff and regular season three point shooting he shot 39%

since the start of last season he's shot 41% from 3, but I don't know what he's shot on corner threes and whether it's sustainable

i actually wonder what the largest jump in three point percentage is in the history of the nba in seasons 7 & 8 of a guy's career -- six points if he plateaus at 39 seems like it would be pretty unique but maybe that's totally off

Stockton is a good call. Took him 6 or 7 years to be good from deep.

Bird wasn't a 3 point shooter until his 6th season

every important guard/wing on the thunder w/ the exception of maynor is shooting well above their career averages in three-point shooting, even westbrook. should come down a bit for some of them (tho KD's seems sustainable because he's KD and martin bcuz he's getting so many open looks) but it's something noteworthy to track.

except for his rookie season, strangely xp

wow those bird numbers are remarkable -- excepting his rookie season he didn't shoot above 29% until he was 28 then he didn't dip below 40% until he was 33

it's true tho... "the suns training staff" is this mystical thing & yet no one knows anything about them? neither sports illustrated nor espn has ever done a feature? idgi

the system they use is called sport kinesiology iirc, its abt testing all the diff muscle groups and figuring out where youre strong and where youre weak and then woking to make the weak parts strong

i remember shaq talking abt how they found out his ass was like 60% fat and made him do all sorts exercises to correct that which is p lol
